I finally broke down and bought a scale today.  I'd been going to my in-laws' house to use theirs, but I decided to just buy one.

Well, my weight was exactly the same as last week:  125.5.  Grrr!  I know, I know, just give it some more time.

I trained for 29.5 miles.

I also bought a scale..came in the mail today!  I weighed in at 143.2 so I'm guessing last week was probably just an off day the day that I weighed.

Good job Josh.  Working as you are is also loggable in BT.  Protein is always hard for me to get with out supplements.

How do you log, Hammer swinging????

Well today, dad and I finished up friend's house... we've put in close to 30 something hrs, and today I spent close to 4.5 of that vacuuming about 120 lbs of soil (composed leaf material) off an awning and gutters (hadn't been cleaned in 15-20 yrs... (debris from giant maple just above). So I had to shop-vac a ton at a time and then climb down a ladder with it (one handed). All in all we've put in 5 doors ( 1 french door, and 1 really heavy front door), which includes adjusting, molding, caulking so on so forth. Some brick work, re-attatchment of light fixtures (exterior), Shutters, mailbox, removal of tv antenna, driveway repavement, and put in a wash basin in their laundry room, some minor plumbing, awning/gutters. Now at a later date we have some painting, tile work, some more plumbing and wood repair (soffits) + install vinyl soffits, just to give you guys and idea of what I elect to do when I'm not training... Now Saling how do you log all that? Are you talking about just listing it, or is there an option for home repair?

After another exhausting day, I ate dinner and crashed around 7 pm. Around midnight I had to get some water (as I was pretty dehydrated) and I haven't been able to sleep since, partly because I crashed early, but mostly because of back pain. Not to mention a nagging feeling of something I may have forgotten, but couldn't remember what it was... 'Til I realized weigh-in!!!!

Last: ????

This: 188

I guess there's some truth to weight gain and the stress hormone, Cortisol... School is fast approaching, and I've also spent another hour trying to create a list of the things I'll need. But the one item I'll probably need most of I can't get anywhere... TIME! In the coming wks, time management is going to be key not only for school but for training as well, and then school and training combined! I'm pretty sure I can do it all, I just need to take it one step at a time, and then like SBR find efficiency and endurance through practice. So even though the beginning might be a little hectic, I'm confident if I attack it like a puzzle, I'll find my way through.

Ah ha!!!!!

last 186.8

This 188

up +1.2 Pretty sure it's water retention... My hands and face have felt a little swollen, and I confident it's not cushing's ! I think when the time comes (start of school and beggining of next training period) it should go back down, at least consistently. It's just all this other outdoors work, my joints and skin get pretty irritated and inflamed from long hours plus the fact that I don't do it yr-round.

Josh:  I would list it under yardwork if I wanted to track it.  You can describe it as build patio, etc.  Good luck on scheduling.

Sherm:  I have confidence that you will get that 5 lbs back so I am not worried (much).   Noticed you snuck a little ride in last night.

Sorry I'm late for the weigh in.

This week 123.4

Last week 122.6

I've been stuck here forever it seems. I do pretty good sticking with my eating plan during the week and then weekends everything goes to he**. I spend the week losing what I gained over the weekend.

Not that serious about tracking yardwork though... if I were that hardup for tracking every single calorie, then maybe. I think that if I can sustain sub 190 for the next 2.5 wks, I'll be ok, for the next training session. Like you said I just have to be mindful of what I shovel into my mouth.

Finally got a day off today... And I slept most of it away. This wknd I'll be prepping and painting a porch, then some yardwork around my own house. So, I guess even on a day off I'm burning mental calories for all the crap yet to do!

Plus I'm missing the training already, so much time on my hands and I don't know what to do with myself... Might go for a run tonight, will log if I do.

I went running this morning. Back in July (which was the last time I did any real training), I could only run 2 minutes at a time. Today I ran for a continuous 5 minutes and I didn't die! I switched to walking and then after about 5 minutes I did another 2 minutes of running!!! I was pretty proud of myself. I'm going to try and go for a bike ride after work, but I'm lacking any kind of energy these days, so we'll have to see how it goes.

Hey gramps, what did I miss? 10 min of yoga + 42 min of other swimming + 20 min of weights + 2 min of core = 1:15 in my defunct book

Maybe the Vegas heat is getting to your brain Wink
