I am stuck with numbers again-and I am trying to figure out when I can fit in 3 swim workouts in the next two days.  I might be able to get 1/2 hour in tomorrow morning before school and I plan on doing a masters workout Tuesday night.

Morning, Nibbs!

I'm getting a cold.

And I can't believe it's almost October. I'm NOT ready for October.

Oh no!  I hope you feel better fast, Kristen.  I'm not ready for October, either, but I do love the October weather and the leaves (they won't start to really change here for a couple more weeks, though).  Of course with that said I think it's supposed to be "summer-like" weather here today (read: HOT).

Therefore, I'm off to workout before the heat of the day .

I played a great tennis match yesterday in this heat.  We won in 3 sets.  Almost 3 hours on the courts.  Our team is in first place.  If we make the playoffs, I can't play any of those weekends.  Bummer.  But glad the team is doing so well.

Spending the rest of the day dealing with library problems and business.  Can you believe I have a customer who is complaining about where the staff park.  This customer wants staff to park on the opposite side of the building from the staff door.  Isn't that crazy?

Kristen, I hope you feel better.

Judi, I slept in, too.

Mila, stay cool!

Kendra, good luck at work.  That sounds like a crazy complaint.

Good afternoon, Nibbs.

Kristen - maybe it's allergies? I dunno.
Judi - Yay for sleep. Sleep rocks!
Jen - Any mold growing in the basement yet?
Kendra - Some people need to get a life!

I am tired and would like a nap. Must not close eyes, must not lay down, must get moving........

Funny you should ask.  I just finished pouring plates in the lab to take home to check the basement and the rest of the house for mold.  I'm doing it now and then I'll do it again in a few weeks and see how they compare.

So, I'm going to Mexico at the end of November for a friend's wedding.  We're renting a house with another couple.  It has two bedrooms and two bathrooms.  Cool.

Another friend (brother of the groom) is staying with his parents.  His girlfriend wants to crash on our couch.  Apparently they can't stay together because his family is too conservative.

I've never met her and I'm not really cool with this plan.  Am I being mean?

I  toatlly get not being overjoyed with that plan.  It would be one thing if you actually knew her and had an established friendship.  It isn't the same as a dorm mate in colege that you just deal with and make it through the semester.  It'syour weekend away with a stranger on the couch.

Glad to know I'm not crazy.  He's going to turn it into drama (she NEEDS a place to stay!), but no one in the house is excited about the plan.

That would be weird. Why can't his girlfriend crash on the couch at his parents'? The parents are in-house to "bush patrol". I can see not staying in the same room, but the same house? Sheesh. If the parents are that against it, maybe they should pay to put her up somewhere (not your house).

Spokes - 2008-09-30 11:13 AM Speaking of travel, I leave for Disneyland 3 weeks from Thursday, and we're looking into packages for Honolulu over Thanksgiving or Mexico instead... my passport came in the mail a couple of weeks ago. Never had one before.

That always surprises me about people... I cant imagine life without a passport!
