I love wood and these are beauties!

All I see is a little red "x" in a little white square.

Yeah, a good road bike was definately my first instinct.

Melissa, I can't see the pic you posted.  I just get an X.  Does anybody else see it??

It showed for me last night, but now it is gone.  I am not sure what happened. If you click on Renovo it will take you to the site.  The picture was the first bike on the home page, the R4 Pursuit.  I think that I would go for a different wood combo than that particular picture.  You can see different wood combinations in the photo galleries.

ETA...it seems that you need to have the website up in a different window for the image to show on this page.

[x2!  But that's just what I need right now so I don't blow it this holiday season!

My gym that has helped me TREMENDOUSLY over the past year has asked me to do a '"success story" type of thing for their new web site, and now has asked for some pics, so I was going thru some and decided to put a couple on this site in an album.  It was a lot of work, but OHHHH so worth it, and I am so happy to be were I am now.   Eating healthy for the next two weeks and having to write it down will make me focus again!

Great before and after pictures Kathy.  You look great!

Jen - Hope you made it safe after the bad road conditions!

Today was a healthy eating day for me.  So much better after the weekend of goodies and holiday snacks I enjoyed.

Hi everyone!  I made it to Wisconsin safely late last night...it was a very long day of travel!!  Today was a few more hours in the car traveling from my parents' house to my in laws' house where we'll be until Christmas.  The net connection isn't great here, but I will do my best to catch up and keep up with the threads.

I did have some pretty good eating days.  I'm counting a grilled chicken sandwich (no mayo) and yogurt from McDonald's as healthy though because it was the best I could do on the road.  There are so few healthy options available when you are traveling!  It is quite frustrating.

TRIMAN413 - 2009-12-20 4:47 PM WOW!!!! Nicole, that is quite the collection of bikes you have there.  Very nice!!!

Thanks! Tri bike, Road/Race bike, and Commuter.

I'm going to have to pick your brain Nicole for advise on bikes soon!  I only have an ol' mountain bike and my goal for the new year is to purchase a new one.  Don't know if I should go for the road bike or a tri-bike yet.   My sisters boss (multi-time ironman) has offered to sell me his tri bike - but it might be more bike than I need at this stage.   I still need to get more info on it, all I know is it's a cervelo - he paid over 4500 and is asking 2200.

It depends in part on what types of races you'll be doing, what type of riding you like to do, and what your goals are. If you ride a tri bike you've got to be comfortable using the aerobars and be able to use them for at least 75% of your ride to gain the advantage they are designed for.

My road bike has a triple so it's better for hilly routes that I wouldn't ride the tri bike on. It's also what I use in the house on the trainer or rollers.

I totally agree with what Nicole said.  I have a tri bike and a road bike.  My road bike has a triple and my tri bike has a compact double.

Unfortunately, my tri bike is too big and is so not comfortable that I end up riding my road bike 90% of the time.  Fit is super important!!  It ends up being the deciding factor for whether you should buy a bike or not.

Well I go get my MRI results today.  So we will see what the Dr. says.  I have slacked a little on everything this week.  Plus I am super busy at work right now and I havent been able to get away to swim during lunch. Depending on what the Dr. says today I might just lay low a bit for the next week and a half and start fresh Jan 1st.

Well I just got back from the Dr. and got great news.  He said there was a little flare up of tendonitis, but really did not see anything damaged to where surgery or anything is needed.  Basically he said I just was over training a little and was going too hard too fast.  So he said just back off a little and take it a little easy at first.  Maybe stretch a little better than I have been.  SO IM BACK!!!!!!

I still think I might take it easy the next week and a half and start fresh Jan. 1st.

That's great news!  Glad there isn't any terribly injury - it's tough to slow down and back off though...

That always my problem when I train.  I cant go out and take it easy.  I always have to give it 100% and push myself.  I need to learn to slow down a little.
