Once I know the time frame that Robin is planning the house for, I'll try to get hubby pinned down to dates. He got the job at the University Hospital. He should be starting there on March 20th. He starts first as a temp that then becomes a full time employee, so we don't know all the benefit stuff yet, let alone the vacation time. But I figure by January he aught to have some saved up. I'm hoping to go for a week, but we shall see. WOOHOO for Kendra's hubby!!! |

The boat is actually a hovercraft and there is one from Ft Meyers that goes to the keys. I am pretty sure there is one from Sarasota, too. My mom lives in that area (about an hour drive). It would be cool to go visit her then take the boat to the Keys, maybe with bikes in tow. That would just be fun, plus it keeps the family from wanting to come down to the keys to visit. Love them but they are not folks I like to hang out with. My mom is coolish, but the bro and SIL are NOT!. It is just an idea at this point. I am just trying to figure out ways to visit them and have a fun vacation, too. There is no way we could justify going to Fla and not seeing Family, even if it is a long way away from where they live. There are tons of places to rent bikes there. We may end up doing that unless we spend more than a day with my mom. Having a bike there is good. |

Dee--good job! I wish you could come to the Keys too. Ann--hope you're feelingbetter, I second what was said about not staying in bed in the dark after a dream like that. Robin--I am definitely in for the Key West trip--the exact dates will be up in the air for me until a later date as well. Hope that helps with the planning. Speaking of Kim--how is she doing? I havent talked to her in forever, and ever. I do hear from Melissa every now and then, though.

Back at you, Ann. What's up today? Well March is off to a less than stellar start, but I will make the most of the rest of the month. After having the flu on Monday/Tuesday, I have been unable to eat this week. I have had 0 appetite. I even made dinner for myself last night, I took a few bites and I couldn't finish it. The lack of nutrition has also produced a lack of movement on my part. I am going to try to eat a little more today, and hopefully by tomorrow I can at least be taking some longish walks. I have also been wide awake every day this week at 4:00, or before, thank you creepy spider dreams. I am hoping to keep that up so I can workout before work, my evenings are just hectic. Once I start getting paychecks again I am going to join the Y here. I am hoping to swim 2-3 days a week before work, the other days I will walk/run at home before work.

I believe you can get the soda part there. Maybe we can get her to mail us some? Or maybe we can talk Kim into making a foray over the border when she visits her mom. Or maybe we can get Bill to cross over into the great beyond. I'll look into it. A girl should have her request granted on her 40th. |

That sounds like a plan. You can't rush getting better after a big illness. I wish (sorta) that I could get up in the am to workout. It is amazing to be able to be done with the workout, all energized and all, before you really start your work day. |

We are having a small gathering at lunch for him. Next Saturday my sister and her family are coming up. My BIL and nephew + my husband and son, and daughter + 2 friends of my son + a family that we are friends with are all going to play laser tag. I am going to hang out with my sister and niece, and hopefully try the climbing wall they have at the sports emporium. So it will be 4 adults and 7 kids playing. Then we are going back to my house for pizza and cake, and the kids can play in the basement. My sister makes the most fantastic cakes! She has taken several classes, she's artsy anyway. She's had people ask her to make cakes for their special occasions, but she's not sure she wants to make it a business. She doesn't mind giving them away, but she thinks if people are paying her they will have to be perfect. I'd pay money for the quality of cakes she makes. Anyway... it will be a fun day. And there will be cake. |
