No more riding til next week cuz we are hitting the slopes tomorrow. Conditions look great (maybe a tad chilly with temps in the teens) but actual REAL snow! Have a great weekend, team. And Ride Lots (of course ) Pam Great job Pam, have fun this weekend and don't get hurt! You have 2 more weeks of bike challenge ahead! I have a 3 hour trainer ride on tap for tomorrow . High temp forcasted in the low teens so no way it is happening outside. |

Expert 968 Wellington, North Island | Subject: RE: Team Ride Lots I will actually be putting more time in on the drainer than expected this weekend. With windchills at -10 to -20* below zero predicted I think I'm going to opt out of my run, even if was only for 45 minutes. I can do it on Monday when the temp is halfway sane. I'll substitute 45 minutes on the drainer instead and build my mileage a little more. |

I am also going to take a cue from the WaterDog book; I brought my laptop home from work and am going to try to set that up. Nice job everyone, lots of time left in the challenge so lets "ride lots"!!!!! |

I have an hour twenty today so I should reach my goal. Maybe I'll bump it up just a little to keep me motivated the last week or so of the month. And so I can spend some more time riding my new love. |

Pro 5123 Canandaigua NY | Subject: RE: Team Ride Lots Just out of curiosity (since the prizes for this contest are huge), what is the rules for going over goal? I remember one challenge where the overage only counted the last week or something like that. Or is the winner the highest percentage of goal? |

CONGRATULATIONS to Who's Your Marmadaddy? This is the second week in a row that they've had the top ranking! BUT remember that this is only the THIRD week of the challenge! January is only 64.5% completed. And some of the teams are REALLY close to one another! There's still time to help your team achieve that #1 ranking! So get out there and Swim/Bike/Run!... And then Swim/Bike/Run some more! Dee and Beth |

Champion 23360 Taser-World | Subject: RE: Team Ride Lots Important Challenge Announcement: This is a team challenge, so Beth and I have decided to offer you extra incentive to help your team. Some participants are dealing with illness, injury, or just "life in general." And we know you want your team to do well, so: You may now achieve 120% of your goal! Up to 120% of each person's progress will be counted in your team's percentages. (Yes, we know that some of you have raised your goals. It's your choice whether to try to achieve 120% based upon your original goal, or your new one.) The team with the highest percentage will WIN the Challenge. Any team that achieves 100% (or more), will also be declared a winner, and get to display the "Winner" signature line. We hope this provides a little incentive for you to get out there and SWIM, BIKE or RUN! Dee and Beth |

Veteran 150 | Subject: RE: Team Ride Lots D001 - 2008-01-14 10:49 PM Captain Scott -- I've done some work for you. You may want to check on your missing teammates, or on those whose numbers are "kablooey." Here's what I found: DougD - has 7.5 mi in the spreadsheet, but 0 on his log. He has been logging on, but has not been updating anything in his log. (Why is there more on the spreadsheet than in his log?)
Hi all, I felt this deserved a response. In a word, OOPS, forgot to enter the mileage in my log. Unfortunately, I haven't been riding as much as planned. I only have one meeting this week (tonight) and hope to get caught up on my riding. I need the stress relief! Our son is due to be born around the first of March and there has been (and still is) much to do. Thanks. Doug |

So I figured I'd ask. Bummer about not riding as much as you planned. I completely understand though -- my job has been crazy, and I also haven't been able to get in as much training as I'd hoped. Nice job everyone, lots of time left in the challenge so lets "ride lots"!!!!! how did the laptop and the trainer session go? Other than my wife laughing at my set up it went great! I couldn't type, but could run the mouse ok. Read some race reports, researched some stuff for a non-tri related project and even played some online poker. The ride had some scheduled intervals in the second hour and the first half of the third so I had to shut down during the harder efforts, but it sure help kill the time. |
