Artemis - 2013-03-07 11:45 AM I ordered two new pairs of shoes today: new everyday shoes and new running shoes.  My new running shoes are charcoal and pink! Nothing gives you motivation to start running again like new cute shoes.

Fun!

Oh, I don't know about that.  I don't find cute shoes particularly motivating. Wink

First IM dream.... Very choppy water no one wanted to swim except me!!! But forgot my swim cap. Also decided I would ride and took no hydration nor nutrition.... Its16 days away now I'm undecided about it! In denial I think. Weather is going well ten days straight over 90. If it doesn't change IM will be carnage

I know it's a tough decision. You'll be fine, you'll make the right choice when it's time, and the Manatees will be behind you all the way! Either way you get to see her Yanti-ness!

Here's a pic of my bike after getting it fit.  The handlebar drop + aero bars are the biggest change.  I'm kinda glad I got a smaller frame now.  It made the tri fit work.

Yeah, another Fuji Fan. I like it, nice ride. Hopefully it will warm up a bit for you and you can get it back out on the road.  I'll have to post a pic of mine after I redo the handlebar tape.  Currently I have some black stuff on it, but it will be replaced for the season with the "Kevin's Bacon" from Raleigh. Makes it easy to pick it out in a transition area. And it keeps with my personality.

That handlebar tape truly looks weird.  You'll definitely get a lot of double takes.

I have had it on for every race I've done. People usually give it a double take.

that is awesome

I was having lunch yesterday with a friend, who is training for Boston, and a couple of his associates.  He and I were talking about our races and one of the associates asked if I was training for a marathon as well (I wanted to say that Boston isn't just any marathon, but I digress). My friend explained to his associate that I am doing a HIM and explained the distances. The associate said "All in one day?"

Ha!!!!!!!

If you are anxious, the dreams seem pretty normal.  Happens to me all the time when I'm stressign about something!

I thin whatever decision you make will be the right one for YOU and that's what's the most important.

That's insane! But it brings up a good Manatee question. How do you like your bacon? I like crispy, not burned.

Nooooo. Don't freak...ok, just a little. Took my DH 3 months to convince me to do my first one. I'm not fast, nor will ever be a "racer", but that first one was really amazing   Congrats!

Artemis - 2013-03-07 10:45 AM I ordered two new pairs of shoes today: new everyday shoes and new running shoes.  My new running shoes are charcoal and pink! Nothing gives you motivation to start running again like new cute shoes.

Woot-woot! Yep. Wore mine last night. Happy feet again Laughing
