Have never been to VA beach where this event takes place Have only been to a few OWS practices with the tri club and for some reason the river doesn't bother me. Very little ocean experience other than playing at the beach... Umm yeah, another year...MAYBE the river swim Jen mentioned or a lake swim 1 mile in July...Picked up info on that in the expo too Um, based upon Cayuga Lake... Um. I think you should wait awhile and get some more ocean experience. I don't think that VA beach is going to be "pool-like." (Complete with lane lines and gutters.) The river swim has potential though. Sounds like that would be a good one for you this year. |

But it COULD be all about chocolate. And I'd be OK with that. Im kind of relieved its not really all about me.. that would be a lot to live up to... why dont we just go back to all about sugar, chocolate, cake and caffiene? "Go back to" implies we got away from it in the first place. Which we didn't. (See the Onions thread. Shermbelle is bribing us with LDs. I got there first though. The LDs have been taken. Ha!) |

Also, had a nice lunch with Jen & Judi...good thing I went home when I did though - Elder Monkey had passed along the wrong message to Sugar Daddy, who was about to send out a search party for me. (Note to self - do not leave messages with 6 year olds - she said I was on my way home and that I would eat lunch with them? Hmmm. Not what I told her to say.) |

It was faster than my LSD runs of late and I could feel it by mile 6 that there wasn't much juice left in the tank to push the last 0.2. If I can hold a pace similar to that for my half I'll be uber happy |

Well, it helped that C wasn't feeling well this morning so we skipped the track meet - got the haircuts in Most importantly, no more 'highlights' of the wrong color if you catch my drift made it to the double header soccer game just in time after hair appointments. (lol, in my blog I accidently typed double headed soccer game - hahaha! - it's fixed now) my son now looks like he has a mother that loves him - boy oh boy was it bad! headed to have dinner with some friends, they are making steaks for C, K and me - it will be nice to see them! |
