Artemis - 2008-06-02 10:48 PM Hey Dee, can we add something to track where we are in the month on the spreadsheet? It's really helpful. I can put it in if you want.
LOL, GMTA. Guess what I was just doing? Yep, adding tracking to the spreadsheets. It's all done for all 4 teams now.

GMTA?  Funny that you were adding it in.  Thanks.

I'd wanted to do it the other day -- but with setting up the teams and spreadsheets, adding new people onto teams, etc.... well, I just never got to it. So it was on my "to do" list for tonight.

I agree - I really like having the trackers on the spreadsheets. It lets me see where I am, as compared to how far the month has progressed. (And tells me when it's time to start panicking. LOL)

Morning!  Got a swim in today and a run penned in for later.  I'm going to do the spreadsheet once a week since I'm logging in hours this time...makes it easier to keep track of from my logs

Good for you for swimming/running today.

My knee is still hurting. I have NO idea why. :P

And yes, you can update the spreadsheet once a week. If you forget, um, I'm sure that someone here will remind you. Probably in BIG RED LETTERS.

Hey, Geckos!

Got a nice little ride in today...may head to the pool this afternoon for a little schwimmy schwimmy.

Tomorrow I'm hoping for a longer ride with a co-worker and a run.

(I'm hoping if I start my month strong, I'll be able to nail my goals.)

Today I rode the bike at the gym since my buddy is getting me new tires for my bike. Since I'm a beginner, and I can't spend a lot of money right now, I'm just getting road tires for my mountain bike. Should help me go faster!
I had a hard time getting up this morning...need to be better about getting to bed on time.

On the menu today, a run once I get home back from work and a swim at 9 PM.  If I feel like it, I might play in the water for a bit after I'm done with my swim workout and by playing I mean learning how to do flip turns with the help of a pool noodle.

Go Geckos!!!! Cool

Did I really just let 2.5 days go by with no training at the beginning of a new challenge?  AGAIN?  I always do this and hate it.  I have to get alot in the last week (because I don't stay consistent), so when the new challenge month starts I slack off.  Doing something tonight, probably better go spin/run at the gym.

I DID need to get up early and work from home for a couple of hours, but still - grrrrr....

Slick tires on a mountain bike make a pretty big difference.  I was much faster when I rode with those versus regular mountain bike tires.

Change of plans for me tonight... no running, I am on call and dealing with an after-hours issue as I am writing these lines.  Hopefully this problem will be resolved in time for a swim later tonight.

I just hope this won't impact my running mileage goal.

Thanks for the band-aid!

The knee is still bothering me. So no wogging (walking/jogging) or biking today. I thought about swimming, but I wasn't sure about the kick. (I look really strange going up and down stairs. Owie!)

BUT I need to do something, right? So I'm thinking I may get another "strength" session in tonight. Yes, it messes up my schedule. But I'm nothing, if not flexible. (Wait, I'm not flexible either. I can only VIRTUALLY kick myself in the head.)

OK, enough silliness. I'm off to read the other threads and pad my post count give meaningful replies to those on the other teams.

Have you ever used a pull buoy between your legs?  Great arm work out! One of my favorites in the pool.

Yes. (I'm having flashbacks of High School Swim Team Practices right now. And that was a veryyyyyyyy long time ago! LOL)

But I've been fighting "swimmer's shoulder," so I don't want to overstress that joint either. (It took months to get over that. And it's ok if I'm careful about my technique.)

I should be ok in a day or two. My knee is a weak spot. (And my shoulder now, I guess.)

Thanks for the suggestion though!
