What's inside the hat?

It's a marshmallow dipped in chocolate on top of a fudge stripe.   They are low in calories!

ebshot - 2008-11-21 3:40 AM I'll have to look into that! Is it bulky at all??

I finished up the pilgrim hat cookies I was making for Liam's class party this morning.  Stinks he can't go to it!  Made apple crisp for it too.  Oh well, at least I won't be tempted to eat any of it since we won't be there!  Silver lining for me!

Those are adorable ~ for cookies and all!  How the heck did you not eat them while baking???  Like Nicole, I want to know what's in the hat?

Nicole ~ you are too funny...Happy chick....HA,HA,HA!!

EDIT:  Duh me!  How 'bout I read the last page and find that you already answered the hat question!  Yuuuuum!

Wow!  Where is everyone?  I never come back here at night and find that no one has written anything!  Oh well...I got in a 48m 32s run.  I was shooting for 50 mins but came up a bit short and figured "ah, what the hell...it's close enough!"  Happy weekend everyone!

I'm thinking the weekend started early!!!

I tried to run this morning but Bryan got called into work.  I was going to run before he had to leave but he wasn't thrilled with me running in the super cold (8 degree wind chill).  Grrrrr, he sabatoged me on purpose.  Not happy!  I'll get something done this afternoon or tonight depending on when he gets home.  I need my POG point!

Those pilgrim hats look great and yummy!

Thanks everyone for your suggestions on the gym thing - I am using my 7 days at Gold's but I remembered my neighbor across the street is a personal trainer. I called her and she kindly gave me some equipment - free weights, medicine ball, a bar, and a board.

But my most exciting news is that we got a horse!!! We'd been looking for a while, and yesterday we were GIVEN (yep you read that right, given) a gorgeous thoroughbred. I will be riding him and if any of you know anything about riding, you know that's a great workout!

Here is a photo of my new baby! (And me too)

Awesome on the new horse - but who the heck gives a way a horse?  Someone who couldn't take care of it anymore maybe?  Anyway - your gain!  Enjoy.

Got my 5th POG point for the week doing a very cold 2:25 bike.

Actually the couple who gave the horse away are horse breeders, and this was their first one they foaled together. He was gelded and then trained under saddle. However with their breeding program and their jobs they realised that they just don't have time to ride him. They could have sold him for thousands of dollars but chose to give him to us because they know we will treat him well.

Cori ~ that's awesome...a free horse!  I had to ask my hubby what some of your horse lingo meant though...he used to break horses so he knows all about them.

I got my 5th POG point for the week ~ 85 mins at cycling class.  I still have to do my push ups for my challenge but I will do that later.  I also need to bust my butt this next week so that I can get an extra point for us!!

A free horse??  Sweet!  I have never ridden a horse.  They kind of scare me to be honest!

I got my POG point yesterday, barely!  Bryan worked all day and into the night.  I hate that!  I bundled up the crew and made them walk with me.  It was pretty funny.  A chorus of "I'm cold" or "Can we go home yet?"  It was funny!

One more week to go POG's!  Let's keep it going!  My goal is to get all 7 POG points!

Happy Sunday my fellow POGsters!  So begins my week of getting all 6 points...I WILL do it!!  Today will most likely be an easy elliptical session and tons of stretching since my legs are sore.  I realized late last night that I forgot to do my push ups yesterday so that MUST be done today also!!   Hope ya'll are having a great weekend!

I did a really hard ride today. A friend talked me into doing her bike shop's Sunday ride; she's a regular there. I'm just not strong enough to keep up; they really kicked my butt! I fell off the back of the group almost immediately but my friend dropped off to stay with me. She's a much stronger rider than I am and probably could have stayed with the group if it weren't for me. I glad that she's going to be the bike rider for our Iron Girl relay team. Unfortunately, biking is my strongest event

You didn't post your 5th POG point of last week on the spread sheet.  It still says 4 for you.

Keep going out to the ride and push yourself.  Eventually you'll be able to keep up.  This is a great way to gain speed.

Got my POG point for today with a 1:30 (8.8 mile) run.  I think this week I will get 6 POG points as well.  Need to work out as much as possible to help negate the overeating that is inevitable!

Go POGS!  Let's have a 100% POG week!

Hey fellow POGsters and Peaches: Thanks for all your hard workfor the team.  We are almost done for the month!  I had a little potluck tonight for friends and their kids home from college.  I almost blew off training but really want to finish the month off in the peach so went out for a quick run.  So glad I did, especially when my friend Karen showed up with an apple pie with carmel on top.  The outlaws arrive tomorrow for Thanksgiving.  I will be cooking for a vegetarian, a celiac-who hates fruits & vegetables, a diabetic and someone post colectmy who can't eat lots of stuff- should be interesting.  My workouts should provide lots of stress release, it will be interesting to see if my minutes for the week goes up!

Cori-congrats on the horse. My daughters and husband ride our horse Zeus, I was on him once and decided I'll stick to my bike.  I don't want to ride anything that has a mind and will of its own.

Morning team!  Hope you all are having a good Monday!  I'm gonna try to swim this morning and then run after my meeting at the school.  Last week each day I tried to swim, a kid got sick so I am hoping that things will be back to normal this week!  Last week of this challenge.  Let's rock it!!!

I did some hill training on my bike today and also 30 minutes strength training. My weight has stayed the same for the last two weeks (I want to drop another 20lbs) but I am definitely more toned and have plenty more stamina!
