Actually, I'm headed back home to Indonesia. Time to take care of the 'rents before they croak.

When are you leaving?

here's the best part -- he's a licensed structural engineer!  he's worked in construction!  he's not awful but he doesn't work as quickly or efficiently as i do and it gets annoying.  but we do have to go back and redo some of the stuff i asked him to do friday night while i cleaned up, cause he couldn't possibly even attempt to clean up as he went...

That's why he's slow.

Well there's your problem.  Understands all the theory but not the application.

when i grabbed the measuring tape to start to draw out the floor he made this big sarcastic "oh if only someone here did drawings for a living" comment.  then he proceeded to measure everything wrong, good thing i remeasured.

i'll stop.  i do appreciate him wanting to spend his friday night flooring my bathroom.  i just want him to do it more like ME.

Well it is your place and your project, right?  Then it should be done the way you want it done.  I'd stick to that theory even if "I knew" there was a better way to do it.

If there was a truly better way, I would suggest it but the owner has final veto power.  Also meh, I fixed your quote.

2 weeks or so. As soon as I can get all my crap here taken care of.

I don't know about Kentucky, unfortunately. Maybe, maybe not. Looking like not at this point.

Well our loss in Ameriland is Indonesia's gain.  When are you leaving, and most importantly, will you still help me stay awake while I'm at work?

Considering the time difference, if I keep a normal schedule there, it should fit perfectly with yours.

Then again ... I suspect things will be crazy busy there ... dealing with the 'rents, plus taking over my dad's businesses and political affairs. I feel like I need a few assistants.

Spokes - 2009-05-12 10:16 AM I just love how some 'old time' BTers beat on me every chance they get. Hell with it. Next time someone asks a vanity question, I'm going to keep my fingers shut. (see the tanline question).

We live in such an incredibly insecure society. As long as you practice good hygiene, brush your teeth, take care of yourself and don't let yourself blow up to 400#, who cares about what you look like or what flaws (physical) you may have as a person?

ha that thread was dumb.  that girl didn't want any advice.  who can fix a 10-year problem in 17-days?  dump.

i'm in your camp spokes.  i don't care about silly things like being judged for my tanline and have no desire to earn six figures a year.  i'm happy with my cute townhouse and puppy and a decent workout and a bud light lime on the porch on a warm summer night.  and i'm quite proud of my workout tanline assortment
