ceilidh - 2010-10-05 9:09 AM So my exciting week...

I get to work today and tomorrow then Thursday I get up at the crack of stoopid and load my mom and her cat in the car to drive 12 hours to take her home for the winter. Yes, it is Florida, BUT, It is at my brother and SIL's home and they and I are like oil and water. (Really we are more like nitro and gycerin, but I try to be an adult about it). I'll fly home on Sunday.

Snowbird time of the year!!  They will start heading south day by day now

I hung the birdfeeders out over the weekend.

Old people eat birdfood?????

no, just cat food (ooh, that was awful).

LOL

That was awesome Robin

There's just something wrong with both of you. I know we've all been aware of that for some time now, but I thought today seemed like a good day to point it out.

Something wrong with us - you hang birdfeeders out for the snowbirds!!!!!!!!!!!

It's a long frickin' trip south. Don't they deserve a snack? I am only a few miles from the highway, if they get lost they could wander by.

ironannekidd - 2010-10-05 8:25 AM Good morning all my wide awake Ghoulies!

We had a network outage here so I played on my phone and got paid for it. My job doesn't always suck, only when I have to do the stupid stuff they ask me to do, or I have to go to worthless meetings, stuff like that.

I was beginning to think that you are your DH went off line for his birthday and decided not to return

Uh... no. In fact the evening strayed from the plan and not in a good way. We were going to go out to dinner someplace with actual waiters or waitresses and no drive thru. Yeah, that didn't happen. Our son had to type up a book report and he had forgotten to bring it home over the weekend. We still went out, but had fast food. We got home in time for the kids to get their homeword done before it got too late.

We did have cake, that my MIL made. There are certain food items that do not go well with my daughter, we are still trying to narrow down the list. She got sick after she ate cake, so we were up for awhile with her. She ended up falling asleep in our bed with me, while he stayed up and watched football.

Probably not the best birthday he ever had.

Well as I have come to realize when you get to be our age birthdays just aren't that important anymore.  Just show me some special time and I am happy - LOL  But somehow I doubt that happened last night with bed company

Hey, he had a Birthday with family. Could have been worse.
I LOVE celebrating birthdays. I just rarely get to celebrate them on the actual day of the event. No matter, any day is good for a celebration.

x2.  Birthdays are a great excuse to spend some attention and time with someone you love.... even if it not on "the day"

but I am sorry that the evening went so far astray for you!

Good morning, Dee!

Please help me. I didn't know what a snowbird was, and now I'm trying to cover my tracks, but I think they're on to me. What do I do???

Oh, you covered very well...Wink

That is okay, didn't you say that you live in BFE?  (now did I get that right)  You may not have enough people around to have snowbirds!  Now out here we have quite a few.  They mostly travel to Arizona.

Well Kim, Neal and I are already sharing a bed. If I can find a room with a California King you can stay with us, too. I don't think Neal would mind. Your DH may have to sleep on the floor though.

Maybe we could get a room with 2 queens and push them together.

Robin - would your husband have any problem with being part of a Ghoulie pile?

It's a good thing I run better hungover. Too bad there isn't enough alcohol in the state of CA to make me as fast as you and Tom though.

We need Melindy to bring us some Vodka Blue from Canada. If we get them drunk Friday night for Neal's birthday, then keep them drunk all day Saturday we just may have a chance.

Of course tying their shoelaces together at the starting line isn't a bad idea either.

Good idea! That would be cute, tying Tom's and Neal's laces together. Sorta like a three-legged race!

I'm doing my last long run on Friday. To solve the problem of having to lick Gu off of the ground, I picked up one of these to try out.
