Green Mountain or somewhere else? Ended up blowing it off, I was tired and we needed to do house cleanup in prep for a slumber party tonight. Right now, I do a lot along Bear Creek and into Bear Creek park. I can get to the trail in less than 5 minutes and I have a lot of technical skills to recover so it is usually a good confidence builder. I did do Green Mountain loop a couple of weeks ago as part of my commute when I had a class at the Fed Center. It was fun to get over there again. This fall I want to get up to Evergreen and do Elk Meadow and Three Sisters ( I always liked those trails) If I can get a nice window of time I am thinking about riding to either Waterton Canyon or Mt Falcon then hitting the trails - those would probalby involve 1.5 to 2.5 of "road time" just getting to and from the dirt than play around for an hour or two. ?? | Master 1623 | Subject: RE: I challenge YOU in August! I love this challenge! It's really helped me get back into running. I finally feel like I have my workout mojo back! Today was another trip to the new gym for an intense 30 minutes of kickboxing. I have to say today's workout of was the hardest so far but I love how strong it makes me feel. My favorite today was squats with shin kicks. I felt like I was actually kicking the bag pretty hard and I am finally starting to get the hang of the speed bag This weekend I'm hoping to run both saturday and sunday and maybe do some strength training or something... I'm already looking forward to Monday for my next kickboxing workout |

Just because there are some people with great months going doesn't mean you cannot put together a great month of your own!!! These challenges are about "challenging" yourself and if you happen to hit a good month and pull a victory out then bravo. But if you do a PR month or get back on the horse that kicked you off - even more bravo to you!!! Finish strong everyone and you will be ready for a great fall season!!! Thanks for the reminder, I feel like I really fell down on my yoga requirement for the month but I will try to have a good last 6 days. |
