Good morning Ghoulies!

I'm WFH again today. The driveway was frozen this morning, and we were getting a freezing mist, I have a long drive to work, and I'm not taking any chances. Plus I really don't have anything to do today, and I hate being in the office all day bored. I'd rather be bored at home.

I may actually try to get an outside run in today at lunch. If the wind dies down a bit.

I am too busy at work. I just looked up and realized I missed lunch!

I am going to fix that RIGHT NOW!

Good afternoon Ghoulies.

The hip and leg hurt a bit, so I only did one mile on the treadmill last night, slowly.  Tonight I am going to go out and play some tennis.  We shall see how I do with that.  Have a tennis match with the team this weekend and next.  I'm looking forward to both.

Spent the last 2+ hours filling out info for my security clearance review. BLECK!

Checking it out is good. It is either something or nothing, but I would want to know if my kid was being coached by a felon. I mean, Martha Stewart is a felon now, but I would let her coach. However, creepy stuff, if it is there, should not be tolerated.

Off to get the first of the multiple allergy shots today. I have to hang out for a few hours to make sure no reaction happens.

Fingers crossed for no reaction. If I can do this with no shock for 7 times, I can proceed to every 2 weeks and maybe actually not be sick all spring and summer like the last 2 years.

Oh, and get off this steroid so I can loose the 8 pounds that appeared since last week!!!!

I wouldn't let MS coach, I bet she doesn't know ANYTHING about basketball.

Don't forget to stop for ice cream. Ice cream is mandatory after you get a shot.

I am glad that Hanna and I went for a run yesterday afternoon.  This morning is pouring down and I can hear the wind really gusting.  I will try for a swim today on my break if work goes smoothly.

The crash course of allergy shots can be rough, but works for some people.  A friend of mine's daughter did it and did just fine.  So my friend tried it.  She was supposed to get shots with only 2 - 10 days in between.  They really pushed her to come in every two days.  About part way thru the series, she developed arthritic type symptoms ... very stiff and painful hips etc.  To the point that she had to stop.  She is hoping the symptoms will subside enough to go on with the treatments within the time frame that they have given her.  A month or two I think.  But when she goes back, she is going to wait the max time (10 days) between the shots to try to lessen the symptoms. 

It seems such an individual thing.  Listen to your body and take the max time in between if you feel that your body is needing it.

This pushing is my doing. There would be 28 weeks "build" time, then shots every two weeks after. They can do clusters of three shots at one time taking the 28 down to just 7 weeks. The risk is for shock more than anything so I have to get an epi-pin and be monitored. It is a risk and if I get shock, I should just be able to go for the regular one/week or 2 weeks and finish out the build. We shall see. Today they were not set up for the cluster so I'll have to go again tomorrow.

Sigh.

No, but she would have a team that would be wonderful and the food and uniforms would be GREAT!
