3558 in a dress? So, basically, the same as any other night he's home alone, right?

Oh I see.  First Lauren gets me to start planning how I'm going to convince my wife to let me get back down to NoVa the next morning for a real ride.... and then she's maybe not even coming anymore.

**W**

Looking forward to this event... and I've figured out my costume, but it will be a surprise.

In all fairness, in my post inquiring about the Saturday-AM ride, I did mention that my plans weren't firm yet. Sorry for any confusion. I'm still trying to see what I can do .

Sorry about that.

In case anyone is wondering, this is how the thread started:

Attention all Northern Virginia BTers, Marine Corps Marathon participants, and other such wannabees:

Some of BT's most brilliant (and partially intoxicated) minds have come up with what might become an awesomely annual event.  The combination of Halloween, alcohol, an impending 26.2 mile run, and a large contingent of Beginner Triathletes presents a perfect opportunity for this one-of-a-kind gathering on FRIDAY OCTOBER 26.

Details are sketchy at this point, but we are planning a carbo loading dinner at Carrabba's in Reston (on Sunset Hills Road) followed by a night ride in full costume on the W&OD.  A few kind BTers have already offered up space for pit stops and changing (and others have been volunteered).  This is the Friday before the Marine Corps Marathon, so there will be LOTS of friendly faces coming to town.

We are looking for a show of hands for those who might be interested in some or all of this debauchery.  Everyone is welcome.  The location, for those unfamiliar, is right near the intersection of 7100 & I-267.  (Fairfax County Parkway and Dulles Toll Road).

For what its worth - I consider 3558 the Barbie Doll of BT Male triathletes. Does that make 3558, Ken?

I thought that was obvious!!! Duh! Jessica Rabbit, Beer & 3558 - who couldn't have gotten that? And for those still following, here's the "details"...not quite as sketchy anymore...

On Friday, October 26th the following BTers have shown interest in our adventure:

Shelly123
Tink
LCSolutions
Docswim24
TNT2TRI
Adidas39
3558
Rollinsw
LaurenSU02
EJC999
Rollinbones
Wurkit gurl

Z
Mdhillslug
Marvarnett
Dck4shrt
JoshKaptur

Turtlegirl

The plan is to ride in costume - and, if possible incorporate your bike - on the W&OD starting in Reston around mile 18.5 at 5:30pm. There is a YMCA at this location where we can park and meet up under a nearby pavilion. Keep in mind that parking at Carrabas is likely to get you towed!

This is a fun ride, not a training ride. Consider a bike light or a flashlight as we'll be right at the end of daylight.

Following the ride, we'll be going to at least Carrabas (yes, in costume) for a carbo-load dinner for anybody, but in particular keeping in mind the MCM participants.

For those who want to keep the fun going, we're tentatively looking at Jimmy's Old Time Tavern in Herndon (once again, yes, in costume).

If you are planning to be in the area and are without bike, 3558 may be able to help hook you up with that.

3558 has also suggested that a group go in together on a room at Homestead for changing – really! Just changing! Our Reston hosts are pretty full at this point, so if you don't have your arrangements, this might be something to consider.

This is open to all BTers and their significant others/friends.

The bottom line is just a good time with good people doing something a little out of the ordinary to mark our fitness fellowship and the Halloween "holiday".

RSVPs aren't necessary - feel free to let us know you're joining - but it's been so crazy in here that whomever is there and ready to go is included.

And - of course - Dan in this:

I need to even up those tanlines.  How's that work again, Tink.  Apply the lotion tan immediately after getting out of the shower?
