Main set 1800 and a 200 cool down. Maccas warm ups 900.Originally posted by ponderingfox It's not that bad. For masters we do 8x50 on 1:05 after our 900y warmup. 1:05 is a pretty easy interval for us to make. I wasn't saying it's a bad, or even that tough of a workout - to me, 20 x 50 with no more than 5 seconds rest (regardless of the interval) is not what I consider a WARM UP... That is a Main Set... Personally, when I write a workout, I'm a lot more traditional with a "Warm up" - I would do a 300 yard swim (at a moderate to easy pace), followed by a 100 yard kick, 100 pull, maybe throw in a couple drills if need be, then do the 20 x 50 as a main set. However, I'm quite positive that there is a method to Yanti's madness...

That is all. Now back to your regular programming. I'm still jogoing, although my jogomojo is hiding today. I will find it. I was lucky I ran today, because the ride didn't happen this afternoon. More of a cr@p day at work and I ended up being there late. Group Ride tomorrow, with an additional solo effort filled with intervals. |

I bet that I, too, could engender in you an affinity for the water and a hatred of me. The two seem to go together. |

Check out my Bike and Run from yesterday. If you click on them - you will see elevation data, and a map.. you can click the map, and see the elevation chart, in addition to the Google Maps chart. (I love this new feature in the new site) Due to the conversation about flat lands and hills, I thought I would show you all the elevation I deal with around here. It is non stop up, down, up, down.......... oops - that's starting to sound a little dirty. : Ya, seriously. I live on the top of a 512' hill and no matter how I plan it, I have to go up that beast at the end of a workout. That sucks.. I live 1/2 way down a hill...so I get to choose.. run up at the beginning, and finish with a nice downhill, or run down, and finish up. Believe it or not, sometimes I choose to finish with a climb. |

I use an app on my phone to track my rides and runs. This app overlays on Google Maps. I can download the data file for the map, and upload it here now (I couldn't do that with the old site)... when I do that, a map will show up on my training log. The ones that have no map, also have no elevation data, because I have not imported the google map data file for that run. |

Something must be wrong Racing Manatees!!! June 8-9 Doo Eeet! Disabled list: JoGo Challenge continues! I know, right? It feels really weird! I was talking to Andie (former masters coach) about it last night when she asked what I have coming up. I hear y'all about the elevation. This elevation graph was done when I did a quick ride staying in my neighborhood... pshhh - 450 feet of climbing over 9 miles... when do you start climbing? My ride was over 2500 feet of gain in 21 miles. Of course - your's was at over 5000 feet of elevation, and mine was at sea level.. I guess we'll call it a tie. (I'm ribbing you - that looks like a gnarly hill in the middle of your ride) |

Nope - the conversation started with our landlocked manatee in Kansas I believe... then someone said something about Florida having long flat runs or rides. I was late to this party. |

I am on the Oregon Coast with my sister and her family. My son and I came down here to watch my niece play soccer. I couldn't resist the urge to bring my bike and do a little riding along highway 101. Sunday is 35 miles ride, followed by a 7 mile run. I'm going to run along the beach. Looking forward to it. |
