Does that mean the two of us have to share?  I was on my way to spend it already.  Guess I have to buy a less expensive Tri Bike.

Ok, well given it's the middle of the month I'm aiming to lose about 4 or so more for the month.

I won't give the whole about me story here since a few of you have seen it elsewhere on the board... but the quick run down is Last May I was 302 and today I was 209 on my way downward.

I'm signed up for a Sprint in July and Oly in Aug (my first Tris)

Oh, and thanks everyone for those kind words. That's why I asked saling about being high in the weight category but having a completely different BF % based on those online calc's. I'm losing something but replacing it still, which keeps the scale somewhat neutral ( in movement).

Vol & anyone else unfamiliar with the P90 system:

this is the breakdown. The program comes with 6 workouts

and the time is broken up into 30 day intervals (for pictures)... Day 1-45 you do workouts phase 1-2, day 45-90 you do phase 3-4, and after day 90 you use the maintanance phases 5-6 plus a plyometrics routine for legs... I strayed from the norm though, given how I was constantly finding that after 2-3 weeks I needed to kick it up a notch, as well as wanting NOT to become complacent with a certain routine everyday (trying to beat back any plateaus)

What I'm doing is.... Day 1-30 Phase 1-2, Day 31-60 Phase 3-4, and Day 61-90 Phase 5-6 +plyo legs. Now for Day 91-120, I'll switch between 3-4 and 5-6 to further the change up routine until I get P90X which is another 12 (different) routines set to another 90 days.

All the phases (1-4) contain a sculpting routine and cardio/ABS routine. And it's further broken down like this:

Mon- Sculpt
Tues- cardio/ABS
Wed- Sculpt
Thurs-cardio/ABS
Fri- Sculpt
Sat- cardio/ABS

Sun- off day

The 5-6 routine is similar though I break it down like this:

Mon- Sculpt
Tues- Cardio/ (ABS-from phase 3-4)
Weds- Plyo legs
Thurs- Sculpt/ (ABS-from phase 3-4)
Fri- Cardio
Sat- Plyo legs/ (ABS-from phase 3-4)

Now during the past 66 days or so, I've had to make adj. because of one reason or another, being sick, not feeling up to it a specific night, or whatever. But I've always made up training days by either doing double duty, or by supplementing with some other form of rigorous activity, i.e. snow shoveling. The key with this program or any training plan is that the participant be honest, do the workouts, stay committed, eat right ( or somewhat better than before the routines), drink water (and plenty of it), get plenty of rest, and for _od's sake: stretch. We don't want the main reason that we don't workout/train to be because we're injured.
One thing I've had to give up for the winter months is running and cycling. Honestly, it's too cold for my lungs to take, and well obviously the snow. So, when the time comes, which is fast approaching I'll be adding another routine to what is above, running around 12-15 mi. /wk, and cycling 30-45 mi. /wk. Hope this helps, but if anyone wants further day by day clarification, look at my logs. I've been logging since day one, giving a more accurate account of how I've achieve these results...

hello, hello.

last week: 191.4
this week: 187.8

down 3.6 in a week, nice!

Last week I started carrying a gallon of water with me and have been making myself finish the gallon before I leave work, its actually been really easy. Much easier than I expected. (pause to take another drink ) anyone else do anything similar?

Yeah, I carry a 1 ltr jug of water with me whereever I go, and I fill it up about 4 x a day. That's between 96 and 132 oz h2o a day.

WOW - you are getting BUFF.  No wonder you're not losing much weight - looks like you're converting it all into muscle.

Thanx, I wish though, I was more defined. That's where most of my frustration comes from. I shouldn't, as saling suggests, put too much stock into the numbers on the scale. And I try not to let my day be defined by it, but.... after yrs. of battling with it you'd thind that a measure of athleticism comes in how much we weigh. (burning cal. and all- metabolism) It seems I'm fighting a losing battle, or at least a benign one. The scale may never get to below 185, but I can change my body image by reducing BF, and increasing lean muscle mass. Which by the end might make me heavier. ( muscle weighs more than fat!)

Dude - I hope you weigh yourself w/o the bling in your ears. Those will cost ya a few #s for sure!

Nice job fellow buckeye, keep up the good work!

Ahhhh... they're only a few ounces a piece. And they're more of a pain in the rear to have. I'm really thinking about tossing them and getting my lobes back... I've had them for close to 4 yrs now. But I got my first piercing when I was 13, and just added the other 3 when I was 18, then over time I started to stretch them out ( 2 lower ones). On a lighter note, I do take off my watch and ring when I weigh myself... Does that Help???? He He He.

The scale is a funny, funny, mistress. Sometimes she is your friend, your lover. The next day she'll tell the world about your 5K / hr midnight visits. Well this morning, she was my friend.

Well this week prom dresses were droped and floors crashed!

last week = 201.6
this week = 196.2

Yeah!!!

Ok, way excited about this but reality needs to set in a little. My BF% was a few pts higher this morning that previous weeks. And there is no way I lost 5+ pounds in a week. I was under 200 for the last few days, but in the 187 - 198 range. All that usually suggest that I'll creep back up over the next couple of days/weeks. Hopefully not over the mendosa line. I'm off to a great start however as I celabrated the smashing of 200 this morning with a doughnut

Awesome, Awesome, Awesome!!!! you're still my inspiration.

Last week 202.4 I think...
This week 201.4

Getting pretty close to 200, I had my first tri last Sat and finished 96/400+. So I was pretty pleased. I still have a lot of work to do though.
