Was it a good movie at least? Not exactly - it was Snow Falling on Cedars....I read the book and liked it, but the flashback nature of the book made the movie kind of hard to follow. Also, I had this disturbing feeling when watching one of the Japanese actresses speak that she sounded and pronounced just like Haley Joel Osment. It bothered me the whole movie. I tried to read the book and could never get into it, so I haven't seen the movie either. Don't think I could now, for I will be listening for Haley Joel Osment all the time. LOL |

I left my gym bag at work today, realized it when I got home and was thinking of all the stuff I needed to bring in. All my extra shower stuff is in it and a few other things...Luckily it's saely locked in the training room but unluckily it means tomorrow I will have my swim bag, and another bag from that in the car well as a run bag to schlep back into the house. I think I'm buying lunch so I don't have that too--but that means buying breakfast since I go up right after swim practice....Yep, it's gonna cost me but less than the gas to go back up to get it! |

I'm starting to feel like a slob... haven't worked out in a week... at least I'm going skiing tomorrow (snowing today) It will be my finally ski fo rthe season I'm sure. Hoping to actually take ski rack off the car on Saturday afternoon and put the bike rack on. If all goes well I'll ahve my bike frame back by the end of the week... they didn't have any more like mine in my size in stock so they had to upgrade me to the next quality frame. Well, I've got to teach an intro class to exercise and fitness tonight... so I'd better get the room ready. LATER GANG!!!! |

Better, we got to sit with some of the folks actually doing the job today for a little while so we could see how they flip between the half dozen or so computer programs necessary to do the job. Interesting because you sometimes have to pry the right info out of the hospital calling in to request the days. As in a person admitted with bronchitis but no mention of what their lungs sounded like? Huh? Basic nursing to say what they sounded like! The afternoon class teacher is boring and speaks in a monotone, fighting the sleep in that one! Still reserving judgement on whether this was the right move for me or if I just wanted the schedule. |

The old incision for gall bladder was about 6 inches (or more) just below the lower ribs. Now they can do most gall bladder surgery through a laparoscope (those itty bitty incisions Kristen mentioned). Do you have any pain after eating higher fat content foods? That usually goes along with the gall bladder. The little ditty they taught us in school was "fair, fat, 40, female, fertile" cause most women with gall bladder problems were light skinned, heavy , usually in their 40's or recently post partum...Okay, you aren't fat, 40 or post partum so that throws most of the little ditty out! |

I always have problems eating fatty foods and greasy foods. I get really sick when that happens - sometimes just sick after eating in general. They basically said if the lidocaine doesn't make the pain go away, I have to go for a gall bladder scan and ultrasound. Right now, it looks like that's going to happen. Plus, I used to be heavier. I've lost about 15 pounds this year, so I hear that can be problematic. |
