OK...forget it...no pictures from me.

Hope everyone has a GREAT WEEKEND.  I love the spring (except for the pollen) and there are not many places nicer to see than Atlanta in the spring.

no worries steve, we'll figure it out!

BunnyB - 2008-05-02 8:05 PM *massive gulp* Ok, I SOOOOOOO do not want to do this, but in a continued effort to try and love myself and my body regardless of my weight, here is the pic from my 5k about 3 weeks ago. I've been working very hard on accepting myself and realizing that my self-worth has absolutely nothing to do with a number on a scale, so sharing this picture with you guys and another HUGE step for me.

Melissa,

Thank you for sharing this this most beautiful pic!  You Rock!  I know it wasn't easy.

I love the focus and determination in your expression!

Thank you!

I have to agree with Yanti.  Seeing all of these pictures of active people overcoming amazing challenges... physical, body-image, depression, talking to trees ... is humbling and inspiring.  Thanks for sharing.

Here's one from SC HIM that makes me kinda shudder:

Bunny

I am SOOOOOOOO glad you shared this with us.  I see a woman who has great running form -- good posture, good arm placement with the will to race to the finish line! This time it was a 5K who knows what else is in store for you!  Train well.

I wish when I played (about 100 years ago) I had the skills that the one in the mask has.  He is just a sophmore...and he is pretty dang good.  Thank goodness he isn't a pitcher...at least this way I can't screw him up

And thanks Beth for sprinkling the picture with Pixie Dust and getting it to post.

Hi everyone!   tHanks for posting your pics - everyone looks awesome!  I have to constantly remind myself that most people don't even think about trying to do what we do let alone actually doing it - we are really amazing people.   Here's a pic that Yanti took of me at the last race a couple of weeks ago - I don't like it too much, my daughter pointed out to me that I am about half of what I was last year (now you only have one tire mom!! god bless her).  I had a great race that day.

Miss Bunny -- sorry about the speeding ticket. Pffft ... cop was gay. Clearly. Unless it was a female and then she was unfortunately straight.

I *love* your 5K pic and interestingly enough, I am willing to bet regardless of all the race pics that are to come after it, it will remain among your favorite. The picture is pure heart, guts, and beauty. From having the pleasure of your company in person I can say you are a beautiful woman--from those lovely big green sparkly eyes and down. Oh wait, okay, you have nice hair too. But there is just a wonderful welcoming light emanating from you as a whole ... it makes a soul just want to sink into you.

Mila -- I don't see scary. I see sweaty, hot (in all its nuances) focused, tired, driven. Wooooo that picture gives me chills! Unless you mean "scary" as in HIM-scary, and yes, it is all that AND a box of pink chocolate. (Of course there is pink chocolate. You've had it, haven't you?)

Everyone for pics--thank you for posting them. Yum. YUM. YUM!

This is a smokin' hot, active, passionate, compassionate, brilliant group of people. I am truly, truly blessed to be in your stead.

With one more recovery week to go, I'm up for a challenge.  Unlike most of you, I am a morning person (up with the chickens) and am ready for bed before 10pm most nights.  My biggest problem is not staying motivated to do work outs, but rather snacking all the time on crap.  I will go long periods of time with perfect eating and then BAM I fall off the wagon.  Any thoughts on a challenge to help us eat better, healthier, more/less.......

I'm with you on the early mornings...been up since about 5:45 ready to go.  I also am a snacker...sometimes that is all we have here..but Hey...I do the shopping so that's my fault.  I would rather eat fruit than candy any day, but that is what is gobbled up around here first and junk is all that is left.

Headed out for a 2 mile "time trial" (run) for my coach.  this is the first stages of my training for my first Marathon (Disney)  I am being helped by a former co-worker at the Fire Dept....and boy can he run (2:26:11 PR...WOW)  If I live through this training I will be so thankful...It is going to be a very interesting summer.

Have a great weekend everyone.

Steve
