3.75 miles this morning. I never thought I would say that running was easy, but this morning's run was actually easy.

I should have all my miles in by Saturday, with 3-4 miles extra on Monday.

Good job everyone!

I got 8.53 miles in this morning.  A little short of the 9 planned, but it's ok.

This last week has been kind of insane with school, so I've barely done any training at all.  Of course, this is a result of me procrastinating last week, so I can't really blame anyone but myself.  Hopefully the few days without training will leave me and my knee nice and rested, and I'll be able to train hard for the rest of he month.  I think I can still hit my goal, if my knee stays happy.    I'm going to try to get ~5 miles in tonight, 5 on Saturday, and 5 on Monday, with the extra couple of miles fitting in wherever I can.  I've got nothing major to do for school next week, so I should have the time to get everything in.

It happens.  Don't worry about it.  And don't do too much to aggravate your knee.

Hi Everyone!

We are at the end of week 4.  Here's the plan for wrapping up the challenge.

1) We will report numbers this weekend the same way we have so far.  Get your numbers logged by Saturday and Team captains will send me results on Sunday.

2) Standings will be posted Monday morning by noon.

3) SUN - TUE will be the last days of our challenge.  Get your numbers posted for those days by Tuesday night.

4) Team captains will send me the results from Sun to Tue on Wednesday.

5) I'll report the final challenge results on Thursday.

Let me know if you have questions.

Good luck to everyone!!

3.11 miles (5k Miracle Mile Race) this morning...no pain during - some minor soreness post - nothing ice & massage couldn't handle.

I jogged 90% of the race & am glad I didn't wimp out.  I'm sure I can get in the final 1.01 mile(s) in over the next couple of days!  And...I'm confident I'll still make the running portion of my tri next weekend.

I signed up for the Halloween Challenge...anyone else?

After being lazy and not waking up yesterday morning for a 3 mile run, I was able to finish my 12 mile run this morning. I have about 3 miles left and will definitely be able to finish that on Monday.

I'm in for the October challenge also. Since that challenge is including walking miles, I'm going for 100.

I had to cut the run today 10 mintues short due to knee pain.  I was hoping the time off from training this week would help me get over it, but apparently I'm not that lucky.  Since the pain started pretty late in the run, I'm going to try to get the rest of my miles in this month by doing 2 short runs a day.  I think I can handle a 10 minute warmup, 20 minute run, 10 minute cooldown with no pain in the morning, and probably again at night.

Awesome run!  Glad your ankle didn't turn out to be too terrible.

I'm in for October as well, but this time my goal is hours rather than miles.  That should give me some flexibility to work around the knee however I need to.

That sounds like a great plan - hours rather than miles.  It helps when you are injured or coming back from injury.

Man, good job everyone, I can see some people already made their goal and others are so close. Me, I like pushing things until the end, was supposed to go running yesterday and today but I had a killer workout on Friday and was too stiff yesterday, and today, well today I rediscovered sleeping in, big mistake.

Here is to the next three days!
