Last:???
This: Don't even ask. I'm taking advantage of downed power lines and saying that my scale is out of commission. As if my cable has anything to do with the battery in the scale...! Besides, with all the stress, I'm finding that I'm comfort eating, and my diet has taken a turn for the worse. Next wk, right???

"You were born to run. Maybe not that fast, maybe not that far, maybe not as efficiently as others. But to get up and move, to fire up that entire energy-producing, oxygen-delivering, bone-strengthening process we call running."

Florence Griffith Joyner and Jon Hanc, Running For Dummies

Thanks for the quote! It means quite a lot to people like me who aren't fast, can't run far and feel like they're just flailing about while running

I know that feeling.  I am sure you can get back to eating right once life returns to normal.

Morning skinnies!

Last week: 215
Today: 213.5
Total: -1.5

210 here I come!!! I'm still amazed that even though the scale has been yo-yoing, my clothes are fitting differently still. I put on some pants this weekend that were tight a couple of weeks ago and I'm totally swimming in them. So much so that I'm sending them to a better place...Goodwill I was fortunate enough to have a friend give me tons of clothes that she is too small for. It's sizes that I didn't think I'd be able to fit into, but I tried them on and I can. Yea for free clothes!

HI One and All

I am hoping I can get in on the fun as well.  I am new to this sport, my background is last July I was living the ideal couch potato lifstyle and at 5'11" I weighed 220lbs and had a 44" waist.  This morning I am at 198 lbs and a 37" waist.  My goal is to be at 195 lbs at end of month, keeping fingers crossed.

By the way I completed my first tri in August a sprint distance at 1h 34min.  Not bad, looking forward to more.

Best feeling ever, isn't it? I have been the size I am now for almost a year now, and I still am amazed when I go try on clothes...and start out with a size bigger than I need. CONGRATULATIONS!!!

(And good for you to give them away - I found one of the things that sealed the mindset for me was to get rid of those clothes I was saving "in case I got big again"...)
