Here is the story behind my Chiro:
His mother and my m-i-l worked together back in the day
He grew up with my wife and her sisters
His kids play football with my son and my daughter knows his oldest boy as well.
Pretty cool huh. So to the real cool stuff.
I just met him this year at football and we talked bikes and decided to go for a ride.
I am not being prideful but I am pretty strong on the bike and usually end up waiting for my buddies or push to keep up with local riders in the group rides I do periodically.
So we meet at the local park and start riding and this guy is hammering. I am thinking to myself this is not good (I was in a Z1/Z2 training month and not ready to push it - thinking it would be leisurely!). We do about 40 miles and he kicks my a## all over the place. I finally pull in behind him for the final portion home for a draft and it was heavenly.
So I ask him about his younger years - Comes to be that he was about 22 seconds away from qualifying for the US Olympic Marathon Team - Holy Carp you could have told me this before we agreed to ride!
Then I am at his office and he was a NAIA All American in Cross Country.
Guess we shall never run together and unless he wants to slow down - no more riding either
So all that to say I accept all his diagnosis because he lives the life.
That is all
