The weather here was 70 yesterday and snowing today, so my kids are jumping around.  I'm hoping that it sticks a little so they can go out in a few hours and enjoy it.

I hope everyone has a Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays!!

I agree with Erin - this mentoring forum has been great for holding me accountable and making me think twice about certain things I do/don't do.

Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to all of you as well!

Nice!  I bought my DH a Garmin 305.  I wish I had one too, but I guess I can take his Garmin 101 now.

I ended up getting a pair of bike shorts, long running pants, long sleeve jacket for running, and gift certificate to the running store.

We're headed out of town again for a few days.  Hoping the eating won't be that bad.  Good thing about traveling is that the favorite place for my kids to eat when we're on a road trip is Subway.

That tri clock sounds really cool!! I like that! I see the 310 works in the pool too - sweet!!!

December 27, the snow is almost completely gone, finally got my first outdoor ride for December!

Sunny, temps into the low 40's, headwind for the first 10 miles; it felt so good to be outside riding!

Road tired beats roller tired any day!

I'm 8 miles short of 2500 miles for the year but I'll pick that up later this week for sure!

Hi everyone!  Sorry for the extended absence.  It's been quite busy with the holidays.  And, I still have a sinus infection, so I've been trying to rest up as much as possible.

Hope you all had a great holiday!  I didn't get many tri-related gifts for Christmas, but my husband did get me a bunch of running clothes.  I got a long-sleeved hooded jacket, tights, and running shorts.  I can't wait to use them!!

I also got to take my dad to buy his first pair of running shoes today.  It was pretty cool.  He's really excited to use them.

I start my half-marathon training plan on Tuesday!  Can't wait!!

Go Nicole!!!  You can definitely get to 2500 miles!  That's a really impressive bike total.

Have you had a chance to use the 310 yet?  I'm very interested to hear how you like it.

I had a little ache later in the day so I iced and it feels good now.

I still don't feel like I could run even 2 miles straight right now. I can't believe how much run fitness I lost!

My original goal for the year was something like 2300 miles but when I saw a few months back that I was on pace for 2500 I decided to up my goal.

I've used the FR 310 twice, once for my walk/run and once for yesterday's bike ride. It fits my wrist better than the 305, the buttons feel easier to push, the screen resolution looks to be slightly sharper, the battery life is reported to be 20hrs (compared to 6-8), and the wireless ANT+ uploads are faster than the wired 305's; overall, it's like the 305 only better.
