I'm exhausted! I fell asleep last night at 8:30! I did manage to make progress on 2 of my goals today - pilates dvd before work and a swim after baby went to bed. Woohoo! 2 days until Friday! |

Sheesh! Oh goodness - that is late. Please be careful. It was just a bump. Nothing serious. It's not unexpected to have them for a week after the main one. I had just picked up a crying baby from his crib. We moved to a doorway just in case. I swear he knew it was coming! I wouldn't doubt he did. Glad you are all safe. Maybe the seals in SF knew what was coming after all! Take care. |

And the best news came this morning. I am down to 139.8 on the scale. The first time in three years that I have been in the 130s. I know this because I was 143 when I moved from Alaska to Oklahoma and have never seen the 130s since. I am stoked.. Wha hoo... Only 4.8 to go to goal.. Stacie ~sigh~ I'll get back there some day, too. Congrats on reaching a very awesome goal! You will get there. You just had a little one. Mine was 3 years of not really caring since it was just a couple lbs here or there. Then hubby's doctor suggested we cut down the calories a bit by reducing sugar and fat. I haven't had anything with sugar (except fruits/veggies etc) that have had sugar in them since Xmas Day. It has been tough - the other day I had a bad day and wanted a big bowl of ice cream but we didn't have any. Hubby and I have been going for almost 3 weeks and no one has cheated. At this point it is the "I don't want to be the one that cheats first game". It has made hubby drop almost 16 lbs and he is doing great. He is finally seeing that losing the weight he feels better, he can now wear his military blues without being sucking it in. So hopefully in a couple weeks when we take what we learn and start adding fat/starch/sugar back in slowly that we realize we didn't need as big of portions for him and I didn't need to eat that peanut granola bar that wasn't the best for more or the chocolate and nut trail mix and if I do I have a small portion not the 3 serving size bag.. So we will see. I haven't had a problem maintaining before so I hope I and hubby don't either. But I have to admit right now it is nice to be at this weight. You will get there. I know you will. Stacie 130's is only a dream for me! I was there once.....a very long time ago! Even with all I do I still struggle with my weight! I have been with weight watchers since Nov. 2007, hit lifetime in Nov. 2008 with a Dr. note to go 5lbs over their recommended weight. I still have a hard time keeping in my 2lb range! I have lost 17 lbs but have gone down from a size 16 to a 6/8 depending on the pants. but the number on the scale is still not where I want it to be...165. would love to see the 150's at least! Kim - but you are still working on that and that is a good thing for you. What I found interesting is that I am 138.8 as of today (5'7" trying to get to 130-135) and I am in a size 7/8. You are in the same size as I am so do you have a lot of muscle weight? You will get to the 150's as active as you are. Weight has always been a struggle for me as well as self perception but I am working on it. Stacie Stacie...I have been holding this weight for a little over a year. It doesn't seem to matter how much I work out, how much I eat or don't eat! Oh well I know my heart is sooooo much healthier! |

Elite 3913 far northern CA | Subject: RE: Wind Chill Warriors (Team 3) - January Challenge Hi Team!!! I've decided to use this week as a rest week. I had scheduled it for next week but I'm really tired from a baby going through a growth spurt. I hope to get on my bike this evening when my husband gets home and can take care of the baby. On another note.....we seem to have several team members that have been sick and missing workouts. Do we need to have those people re-evaluate their goals? |

This too shall pass, and it really does pass quickly, I used to think ya right only because they aren't going through it right now......there are times I would love to have the innocent crying over the whining of my teenagers! I agree about the re-evaluating of goals for those that are sick...but missing workouts just because...well I think that is all part of the challenge, For me the challenge makes me train even when I don't want to.....what does the team need to be inspired?? What are your goals for this next season, are you doing what you need to, to get there? This is about growing as a triathlete in what ever that means for you(each of us) Come on Warriors we are in the heat of the battle and we will not retreat!! Edited by kimk 2010-01-14 5:08 PM |

I left a few inspires today for some of the folks that haven't logged a workout in awhile...I know the inspires work for me if I'm in a slump. Let's go Warriors, Let's go *clap*clap* |

Elite 4201 washington state | Subject: RE: Wind Chill Warriors (Team 3) - January Challenge I did my swim session today. I had to cut it a little short just because of time. However, it was still a pretty good push because I am upping my continuous swim distance and cutting back on the breathing/rest stops. Barring some unforeseen, I should make my goals this month. I am waiting anxiously for the registration to open for my first tri. That is definitely motivating me to keep training! |
