All--I first need to apologize for my absence.  I have a really obvious trigger to my spiral into the abyss that I have not found a solution for yet---WORK TRAVEL.  This time it hit me about a week before the trip and I was gone all last week for work.  The positive thing is that I have rebounded faster than normal!  YEAH!  The negative is that I am back to 200.0 LBS this morning.  Yikes.

Updated chart is in the next post.  As a whole, we are maintaining and not gaining...which is a huge accomplishment for this time of year.  This week will be tough but we can get through it together.

wgraves7582 - 2010-11-22 5:44 AM Rebound weight 177.3 - booooooooooooooooooooooooooooo

Well I know the end of the week will be a lost battle because I don't restrict myself on Thanksgiving   I hope you challenge mates don't mind giving me a pass for weighing on Friday - but I might just for some laughs!!!

I think everyone needs to just for wht awareness and the laughs   Maybe it was too much ice cream....

As for me I had another "Sunday Sabotage" and it wasn't even our family pizza and dessert reward week.   Bounced from 204.4 to 209 - yikes  how do I do that?
I should be back down by Thursday morning, but then with Thanksgiving and my B-Day I don't know what the scale will say on Friday.  I just hope it is nice enough and I feel strong enough to get 4-5 hours in on the bike and avoid all the "black Friday" crowds.

ETA:  And sure, you "Had" to update with today's numbers and not yesterdays, mine would have looked so much better Tongue out  oh, and welcome back...  I remember how tough the work travel can be

Hi Cameron,

I'm Debbie and jumped in on this challenge while you were in the abyss. My bio is on pg. 13.

Thanks for throwing this challenge out there!  For me this is such a hard time of year to focus on workouts and weight loss when my focus turns to Christmas and all of it's details.

I started on Nov. 11th. at 124.4 and my goal is 120.

KOM - 2010-11-22 6:09 AM Congrats Stacie on your first half marathon!!!  Great job!

Thank you Kathy - weather was not was expected - mid 70s with 60% humidity with wind gusting to 20. With the first 1.5 miles up hill, rolling hills through Mile 8.5 - I was happy I finished even if I was about 7 minutes slower than I wanted to be.

Weight this morning - down to 146.6 - not sure where that came from but I will TAKE it if it stays.  Didn't eat much yesterday after the race - just wasn't REAL hungry.

Hi All. Believe it or not I am part of this challenge. I haven't been around in a bit.
I did my  first half Ironman on the 14th and have been chasing my tail ever since. I still have not had the time to complete my race report!  I also have two assignments due for a course I am doing. Ggggrrr.
I knew recovery week was not a week to get all caught up with weight loss  and seeing as I let so much of my regular life slide in the weeks leading up to the race I thought I owed it to my family to give them some time!
Things are starting to settle down and I am feeling nice and rested...ready for my next insane challenge.
This weight loss challenge will be the beginning....
I'll catch up on reading all the posts soonish.

I am not holding my breath because I will be consuming mass quantities of food Thursday.  I told my wife I was going to eat so much she was going to be embarassed LOL

Have a great day everyone!

I see nothing wrong with finishing 7 minutes off your goal time on your first half marathon! Congratulations!

What do you all think about doing a New Years Weight Loss Challenge to follow this one? It's nice to have each other to talk to about progress and day to day activities/nutrition/off topics.

I would be good with that although I wonder if we should change to the trying for wt loss area rather than under the challenge threads since it sounds like a long term thread.  Any thoughts?

136.5 again today. I think I just blew out a 1/2 lb of snot so maybe a should go reweigh.....I hope this doesn't mean a cold.

198.6lbs this morning.  I have been looking at my training for the last month.  Beside last week I haven't hit 300 minutes per week once.  This is my tipping zone.  Once I hit 300 minutes per week, the furnace really turns on and the wieght drops.  I hope to pick up some volume between now and the end of the year.  Intensity and marathon training starts in January so I need the volume now.  Here is to 300 minutes!

Definitely worth a re-weigh!!!!!  Before and after anything is worth it (dinner, breakfast, bowel movement, urination, run, bike, swim--I lose a ton of sweat while swimming which kind of grosses me out to think about the pool and everyone else swimming, and any other time it feels right).

I'd love to join in after the new year. I am trying to focus on too many other things right now to put more angst on me if trying to lose anything during this time of year. I am going to be okay if I just hold where I am for now.

I don't get it.  Sunday I was 204.4 - lowest weight this month - Monday I was 209 and this morning I was 203.6 - to my best guess the lowest weight of the year.
What kind of anomolie was that?

Lunagirl - you keep drifting down so quickly - great job!!!!

CAYRIP - want to do all 300 minutes on Friday?  Looking at a "tour of the parks"  Bear Creek, Chatfield, Cherry Creek, Confluence.....
