Ditto. I'm so bad that I screamed and jumped into my bf's lap when the "dead person" in SEVEN wasn't dead. We were in a theater :/

Have you even noticed, though, how turning off the music/background noise during those build up moments makes them much more watchable?

When your 10 yr old daughter says you're immature--you know you still got it.

In my defense, all I was doing was showing her my food, while I was having lunch with her at school.

My 11 year old calls me fun so I figure that is right about the mental capacity I am running at.

There is a world of difference between youthful and juvenile.

Actually, I would say a fine line. The only difference is a youthful person knows when not to act in such a way, while a juvenile continuously crosses that line (funerals, anyone?).

The problem is that the line is different for different people.

Just drove with the windows down for the first time since May. Fantastic morning!

Now to go check out Cleavage vs Honks. Feel inadequate without an educated opinion on the subject.

Welcome to TAN

Look out for this guy. Don't make direct eye contact. and Don't let the goatee fool you.....he's mearly a child.

Ah...did you make that mistake and get sucked in? I'll keep it in mind.

I'm going to reserve judgment on the child label...curious, though.

My two kids help me keep my youthful exuberance.

Well that and I have a very sophomoric sense of humor.

I figure, the more youthful you act, that's the way you feel.  And keep the years away.

I could be old and fat like just about everyone in my HS class, but nope.  I don't want to live that way.

Yep I will be young forever

I, on the other hand, will be immature forever.

Gotta love a man who is at least honest about it.

When farting and old people falling stop being funny to me, I'll admit I'm old.  Until then, I'll remain at the 13 year old maturity level I've always been!

Good thing my wife has a sense of humor!

Yes

Watch Jaws or Alien with no sound and it's a lot less scary.

What do you do?  Same as me?  Just pile it into one box of odds and ends?  Mine is full of tacks, extra staples, binder clips, tape dispenser, pens, post its, coffee mug, random business cards, and tons of other junk.  Going to be hell to organize on the other end.

I hate miscellaneous junk boxes.  They have a million things that I probably should have just thrown away.  :-)

Heck yeah! I'm more for that style....paranormal and such than I am with Zombies, Vampires, monsters, etc. The more real the better. If I rent/PPV a movie, it has to be at night and lights off. I want to be scared........

What was weird, is some people were saying that paranormal activity was the scaries movie they ever saw.  I was intimidated to watch it.  I was pretty disapointed with it.  Not scary at all.  And I even got mad at it.  Especially when the "boyfriend" kept getting video proof, and still didn't beleive.

I guess if you could suspend beleif enough to think it was ACTUAL footage and a true story, then it would be scary.  Sort of like the exorsist back in the day.  But I knew it was paid actors pretending it was real (documentary) if that makes sense.  The same approach as Blair Witch Project.

I actually laughed out loud when the girlfriend threw the boyfriends body accross the room.

I still think there is a world of difference.  If you live with energy and vitality that is great when you act like you are still in high school and play high school type games then you are just being juvenile.

Then again it sounds like we have a different definition of juvenile.

Immature is what boring people call fun people.

This is a funny quote I showed my daughter a while ago. Her responce was "this is sooo true! Mommy calls you immature all the time" I just smiled at her

Taken to another level, I think in the Exorcist, they recorded beez buzzing and played that in the backgroud, knowing that sound created anxiety in people.  You can't pick it out, but it's there and the brain picks up on it.

So lets say this:

Youthful: live with energy and vitality

Young of mind: laughing at "pull my finger" joke no matter what age (they are, after all, quite funny)

Juvenile: Trying to pull a "pull my finger" joke to a bride during the actual wedding ceremony

The games I played in HS were volleyball, basketball and soccer.  Still play them!  I also played my share of beer pong and quarters...  Still do that.

I might even play spin the bottle with the wife if she suggested!  Truth or dare?  I would dare her to do lots of things!

I'm SOOO guilty of being juevanile!

I can do this.....just immerse yourself in the movie and it'll be scary.

Seeing that you've referred to yourself as "Literal Jim".....that may prove somewhat difficult. My BIL is the same way. Very 'scientific' about things and thinks WAY too much about things like that. He told me the guy was stupid for not running out of the house, etc. I told him that it wouldn't be a very good movie then.....if that was the case, Paranormal Activity would have lasted 4 minutes.

You and him would get along just fine.......

Some parts were creepy.  But when he taped the ouiga board starting on fire when they were out of the house and THEN he continued the sceptisism?  I said enough is enough.

The creepiest part?  The GF standing over him looking at him sleeping for 4 straight hours.  If I saw that?  I would drop her like a bad habbit and get the ef out...

Literal Jim was my August phase.

Brad is so last month.

I hadn't flipped my monthly desk calendar so it still shows August.....
