I'd like to be commended for the show of self-restraint when I originally saw the mmmmm cheesecake posted since I was thinking it could easily have been oooooohhhh cheesecake or yesssss cheesecake, too .  The self-restraint came in when I thought of a few other catchy cheesecake phrases...

Hon, if you won't admit to a distance, we can't log you towards your goal completion. Tell us your distance and we'll get your cheesecake problem fixed.

Correct me if I'm wrong, Heather, but if I remember correctly, your goal is a time goal, so we don't need to know how far you swam (if you're like me, it's easier to just swim and not have to think about distance so much!), and you just need to post in your log how long.  Congratulations on getting in the water and not drowning.  Incidentally, my goal for my first tri was "to not die" .

Do ANY of you work? (or swim?)  Seem like this thread is "stuck" at the top of the heap for all of the activity therein.  Well, at least the Terrifying Turkeys (name soon to be changed to something about Nutcrackers) won't have to worry about *THIS* group winning the challenge...(heh, heh...how's *that* for some motivation)...OK, carry on...

You don't scare me, Lou.  I swam for a whole 9 minutes yesterday.  So there.  Incidentally, if you turkeys need help coming up with a Nutcracker name I'm your go to girl having spent the better part of last week submerged not in a pool but in Nutcracker mania .

This group is capable of doing two things at once. We can even walk and chew gum at the same time. Be afraid...Be very afraid!

You're right, my goal is in time (evidentally not enough time by the 1hr I spent in the pool today alone)  But I'm trying to get used to this whole distance thing.  I heard this crazy thing that they measure swims in tri's by meters.  I know sounds rediculous

Well, at least I finally got my Gingerbread Latté, and my coworker brought cinnamon rolls to work today (kudos for him - guess that means I can't be a b**ch today if I'm eating his rolls)

Note to self: go back to white choc mocha

well, as a lead elf for the Dec challenge I thought I should have an avatar that was more 'elf-like',  of course I realized after the fact that it's actually tinkerbell

- but I'm going to continue to pretend that she's a holiday elf sprinkling magic swimming dust on the reindeers so we will kick some serious azz!

Uh.... okay.... I remember her, but right now, she's just a blank white spot.

Good job Evil Elves! With only four days into the challenge you have already racked up 17,750 meters and 1hr 40 mins of swimming.

So Clean So Fresh is killing it with 10,050 in just two days alone.

With that said, even with all the talk you are killing all the other teams so far, so keep swimming you guys rock!
