That's all I remember. Thought it was a funny dream, though. I must say, the swim and the transitions are NOT parts of a race that stress me out. Ever. Ha!!

that must be nice.  i think they are the most stressful for me!!!!  not including T2...that usually seems okay...just wanna run!!!!

kkcbelle - 2011-02-28 6:01 PM Ha!! The dream talk reminded me that I had my first IM anxiety dream last week when I was visiting my folks in Arizona. It was funny!! Best as I can remember it... I remember the swim was going on and I wasn't swimming. I thought, "Huh, maybe I should join them? Nah, what does it matter? Maybe I'll just skip the swim this time." I was totally low key about it. During the race, I came to remember that I had made the odd decision to mix all of my drinks during transition (i.e. measuring powder into the bottles, adding water, mixing, chilling, etc.) and realized that -- shoot! -- my transition times were gonna be really slow! Like 30 minutes slow! Decided that wasn't my smartest move and that perhaps I should have mixed my drinks in advance.

That's all I remember. Thought it was a funny dream, though. I must say, the swim and the transitions are NOT parts of a race that stress me out. Ever. Ha!!

Kim - my encounter with the cop was on Canada just outside of Woodside yesterday.....and we're riding it again tomorrow.  Call all of your patients, fake the flu, and join us.  Fun group of girls, and we can obviously talk our way out of anything.

I wish I could! I know exactly the intersection AND the PO PO's hiding spot! I always stop on those, not as good as you at talking my way out of a ticket! Nice job Linda . Have fun tomorrow!

Bumping up Wednesday's ride to avoid the next storm!   And, actually, I did stop.  And, after all was said and done,  I think the cop believed me.  I told him I'd unclipped my left foot, touched down, looked and went - and that I'd seen him on the right.  The girl I was with confessed all over that she hadn't stopped - she didn't.  Maybe we were a good mix!  Guy spent 20 minutes, writing down all of our ID info  (height? weight?  Made us take off shades to see eye color!), and descriptions of our bikes.  Called mine 'old'.  Hmmph.  First stop sign out of Woodside - and way too many people watched our drama.  Embarassed

Run:3h 11m 01s  - 17.46 Mi

Numbers lower than last month due to switching to gold membership custom plan and missing a few workouts. 1st race in exactly 2 weeks so definitely have to stick to the plan. I am reducing my strength training to twice a week and shorter duration to stay fresh for main SBR workouts

On another note "BASE" building sucks!!! I want to go fast but I have to stay in zone 2 grrrrrrr

Hey gang. How's it hanging. Haven't been around much as I have been focused on my new business. Coming along but of course not where I want it. When people ask me how it's going I tell them. "Great and it will get better soon" .

Training has been very sporadic due to the old body falling apart. My back was sore for a while and while I am slowly working through that I have had a knee problem. Last weekend I was putting up some curtain and suddenly got a shooting pain through my knee. It feels like someone has shoved a "large" needle into my knee just at the inside of the patella. It's OK when I keep the leg straight but I am virtually unable to bend it. Hurts like h@!! when I bend it. Strangely enough it doesn't hurt when I walk. I am wondering if I may have started an injury when we were doing running drills last week and on the weekend bent it the wrong way to finish the job.

This is "starting" to get frustrating. I think I am just going to stop getting older

Hey John awesome work on the ride and race.

BE careful out there Rob!!

I suddenly feel soooo much better.

From someone that just hurt themselves by pushing out of that zone and not having enough base..... I would say it doesn't suck... Its for the better long term. Being sidelined right now. Not eating as well gaining a few pounds. It's all depressing. Stick with your plan man. Cause I am going STIR CRAZY right now.

I need to swap with you and add more strength training for Core.

Eh. Definitely did better last year, but I'm alright with that, March WILL be better and increasing volume. Only one ride outside, rest is in the trainer.  Feels like I took a major setback with the run (endurance-wise). That's alright, it's expected.
Onward we go!
