haha!! mmm... I think a delicious mexican dinner is in the cards Saturday night.

So is he headed off to college?

actually he just finished up his freshman year and my dd is headed to her first year of college in the fall -

For some reason, I keep thinking that your daughter is older than your son. Maybe it's because I hear more about her? (Which would make sense -- she's home, and doing stuff like prom and graduation. Whereas he's already at college.)

well, that I and I do have a younger son as well

yep, 3 kids

Artemis - 2008-06-05 9:56 PM Beth, I think I need your enchilada recipe (if you're willing to share). We went to a mexican restaurant last night and I ordered some and they did not look nearly as good as yours.

LOL! I am very willing to share - it's the recipe off of the back of the can of enchilada sauce -

to be honest, I'm not really sure what it is I do that makes them taste 'different' other than things always taste better if someone else makes it - right?

I'm going to write up what I do, and I will send you a PM in the next few days

yes Amy, this means your recipes will be coming soon

There are some things that always taste dinner when a certain person makes them.  My mom has tried to teach my how to make stroganoff, but it never tastes the same as when she makes it.  I'm not entirely sure why.

it's weird isn't it?  10 people could make the exact same recipe and you wouldn't necessarily know it was the same recipe

well, at any rate - I'll do my best to translate how I make them

Morning, Nibbs!

Pam (you should be traveling, but just in case you pop in) - GOOD LUCK!

Beth - have a safe trip home, Happy B'day!

Judi - thank you for having a crappy run, so I don't feel so bad about my crappy run on Weds. (that sounds a lot meaner than it was meant)...oh, and no OWS for me...got plans with the fam

Jen - I've yet to find a truly great Mexican restaurant here...any suggestions? (even if their enchiladas aren't as good as Beth's)

Dee - most excellent posting ... 9000+ ... WOW!

That's all I can remember. Sorry if I missed anyone. Working from home today - the handymen are coming back to finish the job they started last week. (It had to dry.)

Later Taters! (yeah, I have a 6-year-old)

Kristen,

There's  little hole in the wall here in Colonial Heights caled Mi Rodeo.  I know it's way out of your neighborhood but the food is good and the portiions are good with great picing.  It's on the Boulevard across from (the only ) bowling alley in the Heights.  You get off 95 S at Temple Avenue exit, bear left to go to the Blvd and it's on the left side shortly after the turn.

Nope...pre-arranged plans with the fam tonight...

Since I'm not racing OWS 'til Tavern, I'll still have some time to get in an OWS practice or two before then...maybe not with RTC, but I'll have some chances on family vacations & outings in June.

Have fun. Swim nice.

kns57 - 2008-06-05 9:52 AM Good morning Nibbs. Today is the last day of work before vacation. YAHOO!

where are you going?

I missed that post

You think they're gonna do a crosscountry trip on the motorbikes????

I can just picture it... pulling a little trailer behind the bike with Kendra's road bike mounted on top of it....   Leather one day, spandex the next.... LOL

Good one! ROTHLMAO just picturing that.

We are going to Rhode Island. I have cousins in Conn and Mass and we are planning on visiting with them. So it is mostly a family trip with a couple of fun side items thrown in.

I'm taking them to the vet this afternoon to get their tests and shots all done. The person who is taking them is even willing to pay half the vet bill. Yeah. That makes my pocketbook happy.

Yesterday was my last day at work before vacation. I had my day pretty much planned to get my desk cleaned off and everything else in it's place so that I could come back to a clean office. Well, I guess two of the staff decided that my day needed to go differently. You would never know that they are adults. I spent the better part of yesterday playing referee between the two of them and eventally having to give both of them a verbal warning that if their behavior persisted they would both be receiving wirtten reprimands. FUn fun!

I just don't picture librarians arguing. Aren't they supposed to be wandering around shushing everyone?

Flying into Providence and stay in Newport. Might take in a couple of the mansions while we are there. Will go to Nags Head, Mass to visit cousins and then to western Conn for cousins on the other side of the family. So you <3 RI, why?

Newport is really nice. Are you staying at a B&B, hotel, or campsite? I used to camp out there a lot. I did a lot of scuba diving in RI.

We swapped out a timeshare. So, my guess it is either like a hotel or resort. I'm not sure where the paperwork is right now. No camping for me. Those days are long over.

Yeah!  I'm glad they have a home together.  They're so sad when they get split up, especially if it's only two.
