Got workout number 6 for this week in today!   So I'm feeling good!   Was kind of a record setter for me!   2500 yards nonstop swim.   I've done lots of 4000 yd plus workouts in the pool before, but never this distance without stopping!  Whoo Hoo for me!

I'll rest tomorrow, and get back at it on Monday.  Logged my 6 workouts on the spreadsheet

Wow I am impressed, I can't wait for the day where I will be able to swim 1km non stop ... but 2500 yards this is huge. Grats

Baowolf - 2008-11-08 7:11 PM Sweet looking ride! WTG Kathrine on the race, farther faster better! Nice swim there, 2500 is a nice long swim, sooo hard to not stop in the pool, much easier in the open water where.... you can't stop. Looks like the team is getting it done. I got my 50 mile bike, 2 mile run in today for workout number 7 .... but best of all I beat the rain this week. I only have to get past an 8 mile run tomorrow to get to my rest day, woot!

Great job, you got an awesome week

Awesome new avatar Mila BTW

Personally I did some running, then rode my MTB to the pool to swim a bit. I wanted to swim at least 1 km but we were like 16 and only two lanes were open. After having to stop in the middle of the pool for like 5 or 6 lenghts in a row because there were too many people I decided that it would be better for my sanity to just go back home :p

At least I got some time in the pool still.

Now I am off to run a bit this morning, then I hope the rain will go away so I can ride in the afternoon.

Good morning!

Lots of good stuff going on around here .  Congrats to all of you who had big accomplishments this week... PRs, longs swims, bikes, big runs... nice!

Scot, I am not sure why you live there either .  I have an ongoing discussion with Sal (Sparco) about that (hence his sig line about me questioning the names of his races).  However, since I do travel to Eden Prarie on business from time to time, I can see how the warmer months could lull you into falling in love with the scenery.  It really is beautiful.

I was there with a woman from Boca in late March and, uhhh, well, of course it was snowing.  We had to take about 10,000 pictures of her in the snow.  She also said "OMG... they have so many Christmas trees here!" as we were driving from the airport to EP.  Yes, sugar, you're a long way from your sunshine and palm trees!  She was hilarious.

lyssa-gator - 2008-11-08 12:33 PM i'm sorry i slacked guys. i think i only have 4 for the week. smelly me. i DID however have an epic run yesterday, my legs are smoked today, but i was thinking i'd go out at least for a quick mile, and then i'll round out my half hour with some yoga. i'm on top of it now. for sure. i haven't filled in the spreadsheet yet either. but i'll get over there today.

Great job on the epic run!

I was just updating the spreadsheet... I checked logs for anyone that hadn't updated yet and I counted five X 30+ minutes for you since Nov. 1, Lyssa!  Remember, you can combine (so if you 25 minutes of one thing and 15 minutes of another in the same day, it's allllll good ).

As a side note, we have two team mates who haven't been logging at all for the month.  Let's help get Marina and Rennick motivated!

thanks for updating me mila-yesterday just TOTALLY got away from me. ALSO i didn't know yesterday counted for workouts, i thought it counted toward the next week, so yay me i DID get all 5. yesterday i MEANT to take a SHORT (about a mile) run. but once i got started i felt great, so i kept going. oops. now i'm in pain. toDAY i'm going to try to just have a brisk walk (which will probably turn in to a run) but i'm NOT NOT NOT going more than a mile.

running is turning in to something all different for me lately, it's a good thing. it was where i was going to lose weight, and stay fit, train for races. now it's turning in to a mental health thing. it's good.

Thanks.  I have to find ways to keep myself amused

Yup, something is always better than the alternative!  I'm so fortunate to not have to deal with crowded lap lanes.  Of course, I haven't been swimming so much so that might account for some of it.  Hmmmm....

Nah, even when I do swim I can go at times when crowding's a non-issue and we have lots of lap lanes... additionally, our leisure pool is 25 yards across... so if there are no aqua classes going on and it's not family swim, you can hop in there, too.  You feel a lot faster there since the lap lanes are 25 m.  Hee hee.

Now I am off to run a bit this morning, then I hope the rain will go away so I can ride in the afternoon.

Nice!  I hope the weather clears for you.

Nice work...

I was debating on going for a ride myself, because the weather was really beautiful, but instead I took a two hour nap and now it's dark out side.... Yeah me But I am still planning on doing an easy workout on the elliptical a little later.

16 MPH UPHILL!?!? ok. i just got my first road bike in august, and it was well....inexpensive. but the difference between a 15 year old mountain bike, and this thing is insane. but 16 mph UPHILL!?!? i can't even IMAGINE!! that's crazy cool.

Still the last place, but at least less to catch-up according to the new calc... but I guess that won't be the official team number or are the people that didn't log now off the team??? Maybe I am not getting something here.

Looks like Marina updated her blog and she's on target!  Yay!

Rennick has not actually signed onto BT since October 27th.  I know in past challenges when we've had a team member who doesn't log, we've eventually taken him/her off the team out of fairness to those members who are busting their badonkadonks.  That's a call that Travis will have to make, though.  I'd say we give Rennick a few more days... who knows, could be out of town or having access issues... but if it continues to be a blank blog, perhaps we can consider a change.
