Swam the course backwards and then back to get ready for B2B. Starting to feel very good!  We swim-cycle bricked it out to the Jackson Post Office and back at a nice clip.  Looks like it is coming together for Augusta 70.3 still worried about B2B, though.

You're going to be fine for both!  Now stop worrying and go welcome those babies into the world!  I can't wait to meet them.

Very very quite here, hope everyone is out training. 12mi run tomorrow then a 60mi bike on sunday, and another 12-14mi run next thrus and thats it for the long stuff. One more sprint Tri for speed work on the 19th. Doing wetsuit swims in the pool now. .65mi. with, .65mi. without. about 2mins faster with. To HOT to do the whole swim with.
Had a good result this past weekend at the Callaway Tri. 3rd AG, fastest bike split in AG and felt good on the run (7:26 pace for 8K). Hope that last for Augusta.
Stay safe and well everyone!!

What do you think about the Best Western Garden Inn on Center West Pkwy?  Is that an OK area?  It was on the Augusta IM70.3 website.

Thanks for any input.

Rode the course one last time before the race.  I am so excited about this race.  This is going to be good for the city.  Thanks to everyone that is participating or spectating.  For those that are spectating be sure to play some loud music to pump us up!

Just finished 61 non-stop butt pleasin miles on the bike. Or should I say 100KM (sounds more impressive). Now a Chocolate Myoplex, crushed ice and a scoop of peanut butter, hit with the hand blender, like a liquid Reese recovery shake, YUMERS!!!

Any one wanting to carpool, going from Atlanta to Augusta on Saturday mid-day and coming back Sunday evening post race & party, let me know.  I know several folks who are driving, so we should be able to consolidate.

i'd be up for one...one last chance to catch some incurable disease or be eaten by an alligator before the race.

7:00 AM works for me.

Andrew, I'm going to ride 2 1/2 hours Saturday after the swim and would like to get another swim in Sunday as well.  If you want we can meet and swim up river and back down Sunday.

Okay. How cold is the water, really? In the 60s? Yikes. There's no such thing as cold water in central MS.

More like low 70's for the river temp.  I do think the one time I swam it was probably high 60's- that time it had rained the night before and I think they let some COLD water out from the dam.  But that was the only time I swam where I noticed it was REALLY COLD.

I wear a sleeveless when I swim in the river and at first it feels really cold.  But then I'm pretty comfrtable once I get started and I'm fine.  My only problem is when I get out the water and take off my wetsuit- I get goose bumps and get hungry and cold.  But then once I get biking and warmed up I'm ok.

so, is it the cold water or the sleeveless wetsuit that makes you hungry, janelle?
