doctorbob18 - 2009-06-04 9:23 PM hey I'm jumping in a few days late for this challenge. I set my goal to 60, which is less than last month's total but with my 'A' race coming up I am tapering and then resting after so 60mi should be a good goal to reach for. goodluck everyone!

Welcome!

*Happy Hello Toppage*

lkc01234 - 2009-06-05 5:52 AM Anyone else racing this weekend?

Good luck, Mel!  I did my first 5K (2nd ever) a few weeks ago!  I wasn't able to run it all, but I was suprised at my time (it was faster than normal) and I was really sore the next day.  If you can, I'd suggest a swim the next day...nothing to hard...

I am! I've got Rockman sprint on Sunday...my first OW with a wetsuit!

Well, at least at 5am, the lake isn't crowded.

Met up with a BTer yesterday, and had to swim around people in the lake past the buoys (unguarded beach).  At least it was good sighting practice.

How'd it go?

4 of us(BT'rs) meet up...no lifeguards. It's a little lake, no buoys.. we use the weeds as an indicator of staying on track!

Was the water cold?  That will have a tendency to make you breathe more shallow.  Let the wetsuit do the work.  You won't need to kick as hard with a wetsuit on.

Sighting takes some getting used to.  Any time you lift your head out of the water, your legs will drop.  I practiced sighting yesterday with just my goggles out of the water.  Legs don't drop as much.  Makes a difference...

Yep water was cold, guessing about 65? I complain in our pool water that says it's 83! Yes my legs dropped every time I lifted my head and then my goggles fogged up so I really couldn't see anything! Then I had to work harder to get going again. We swam longer today then I have to for my tri on Sunday so it should be ok.

The team chart is awesome. Thanks so much!

Thanks!  I'm glad you like it.

Ditto:  Love the chart, but am having trouble putting in my log.  Followed Dee's instructions (I think) and pasted the html text into the log, but it only appeared as html text.  Gave up and just copied the picture, which means I get the links but not the pretty background.  Any idea what I'm doing wrong?

Taking the day off to watch my daughter compete in the MN State Track prelims (300 hurdles).  Have a great Friday and catch you all later this afternoon.

Hope to get in my 2.5 hour ride and if all goes as planned, brick into a 50 min run.

Happy Friday all...

After pasting the code, did you save the changes, and then reload your training log? (You may need to refresh by hitting CTRL + F5.)

If that doesn't work, you can try this:
***WARNING: Be careful with this, as it can mess up your "Dashboard"! ***
Go to your Dashboard.
Click the HTML icon to open the html window.
Look for the following:
<td style="text-align: left;" width="50%" valign="top">

Hit the enter button after the above command, so there's a blank line. Hit it again, so there's a second blank line.
Put the cursor on a blank line, and paste all the code in place.
At the bottom of the window, click the UPDATE button.
This will return you to your dashboard. You should see the table in place... Click the UPDATE button to save your changes.

Are you editing by clicking on "edit" in your training log?  You have to click on the "settings" button on the top of the screen, then click on "training blog customization", then click on "dashboard".

Paste the HTML in there and click on Update.  You might have to go back to dashboard and click update again.

Let me know if that doesn't work.

Thanks all!  She didn't make prelims, so won't be running in the state finals tomorrow, but she's had a terrific year!  Went from never seeing a hurdle this year as a freshman to qualifying for State.  We're proud of her!

3 more years!
