My training has taken some hits by family activities.  I helped throw a surprise 50th bday party for my SIL last night. Between party prep and driving the hour there I didn't get in all that I had planned on Friday and Sat. I know I  can't make it all up today (at least and still plan on walking tomorrow) but I'll do my best.  I am going to start with a run and then see how I feel about getting in a bike and swim.  I know it won't be a 2+ hour bike but maybe I could swing at least an hour....

deehtz - 2010-04-11 11:38 AM Good Morning, Team.  No training yet this weekend, but I knew weekends would be hard coming into this month.  I am still on track for my goals.

Yesterday I spent all day (8 AM to 5 PM) walking around a huge car swap meet.  cars, parts, etc.....
I was about as tired as I was after my tri sprint last weekend.  Tongue out  Maybe I could log the walking, but it wasn't fast paced...LOL

Today is church, then taking oldest DD and her husband to lunch for her birthday.  Then hopefully over to youngest DD and SonIL to see our new grandbaby  (3 weeks old).  Then if the weather cooperates, possibly a bike ride.

Have a great Sunday everyone!

It is pretty hard to compete with a new grandbaby!

x2!  Congrats!!!!

I did 30 miles on the tri bike. In terms of average speed this ride was almost identical to last weeks, but by RPE today's felt harder; I started aching in various places at 20 miles that didn't happen last week. Wind was a little stronger than I thought, but was in its typical headwind out/tailwind back direction, but with a bit of crosswind on the back that that was freaking me out just a little bit.

Happy Sunday!

I spent the morning at Lowes picking out new lights, curtain rods, etc. for the living room.  I even committed to a rug.  When we got home my daughter and I painted the room.  Ran out of paint with one corner to go.  Grrrr....  Hubby will have to get me more paint tomorrow so I can finish.

It was cold this morning but by the time we were done painting it had warmed up to very nice running weather.  5 mile done, slow but steady.

Now I'm starving.  Glad hubby's making dinner.

Hi team!  I managed a short swim, bike and run today, not in that particular order.  It was nice to have some sunshine that stayed all day today

Hello Everyone:  Had a nice 20-mile ride with some fellow BTers today.  It was nice to put a couple of faces to the avatars.  In weird news, a bee flew into my husband's helmet on his ride and stung him in the head.  He's fine, but what are the odds?

Good morning.

I ran. Sorta. I hate to admit it but my right heel seems to be acting up again. I ended up doing some walking. I have to figure out how to keep moving cautiously forward. I'll back off on the running if I have to, but I don't to have to. Darn!

I am very curious about the benefits of pool running.  Do you have any experience with this?  Maybe it would help you.   Just a thought.  Hang in there.

Did a short speed running workout: 200 meter intervals.  Didn't have a heck of a lot of gas in me still from long run on Saturday.  I sure don't recover well.  Nice day though.

Good question!   I'm going for my bachelor's of general studies with a focus in either social sciences of humanities.  We'll see where it takes me.    More than likely, I'll go on for my Master's in social work with the ultimate goal of becoming an educational advocate for parents of special needs kids.  Of course, if we were going with life experience, I'd have my Ph.D by now!

Hope everyone's having a swell day so far.  I'm headed out for a short run, then an even shorter swim.  Had a great 45+ mile bike this weekend.  Love love loving this spring weather!!!

I've never done it but I know a lot of people use it to keep up their fitness; we even have a belt in the house but I'm not sure if it would be the right fit for me.

So, for my ride yesterday I used new pedals I just got from REI with my dividend. I ached in a few ways I hadn't experienced before so I'm now wondering if it was because of the pedals and if the pedals have set off my heel. What do you think?

Finally getting into the swing of things here even though our weather is cooling down . Got a little 40 minute run in this morning. Very easy pace as my cold is still lingering, but I loved every second of it. Hope you are all enjoying your spring weather!

Good morning team!

Yesterday was an off day for me.  I'll be on the trainer later for some biking.  I'd love to get outside, but a day that starts at 29 degrees is probably not going to be a good outside biking day.

But first, have to finish painting!

I think I would be too scared of running into the boogey man to run at 4am
