ceilidh - 2012-03-07 9:27 AM You should DEFINITELY do the 10 K with me! I am assuming the cold this year was a fluke. A HUGE fluke. It was damn cold!

Yeah, that wasn't typical weather. I have a little more time to decide on the 10 K, that one doesn't sell out as fast. Last year's MCM set a record for selling out, I wonder what this years will be like.

I am assuming the same which is why I have all sorts of alarms set so I can get Jim in. He is pretty excited to even considering such an endeavor.

Good idea! As soon as I get the confirmation he is in. I am thinking Thorlo or Wrightsocks. Oh, the decisions!

I don't know Wrightsocks, but I have always been a fan of Thorlo.

Hello Ghoulies.  I would like to sign up for the MCM 10K again.  Need to talk to hubby and SIL and see if they want to do it also.  This time we have to all definately meet up.

this morning after the hour bootcamp, I went to the park and ran a mile in 10m 29s.  No walking.  Woot.

I had wine last night without much dinner at all. Today I do not feel 100%. Maybe closer to 60%.

I am off. I am going to the State Park today to check on the clean up. Maybe a swim is in the cards. We shall see.

I'll check back in this afternoon.

Wow, you have been spending a lot of time at the State Park clean up.  Is this normal for this time of year, or is there some extra involved this year?

I took a bullet the other day... at my physical that I have to have for work. The nurse was doing the weight, height, blood pressure thing. She asked me if I have fallen down lately. I usually bump myself up quite a bit so I searched my arms for bruises she may have noticed. I was wondering why she asked and I replied "no". She then asks me if I feel safe in my home. I was completely flummoxed, I told her yes then I made the HUGE mistake of asking why she wanted to know. She stated that it is now State law that they ask patients. I must have looked as confused as I was so she clarified.... "to prevent elder abuse". To ME!!!!!!!! ELDERLY!!!!!!!!! Holy chit!

It is DuPont state park. They had a chemical plant that made x ray film there for about 80 years. They sold the land 14,000 acres to the State and are cleaning up former landfills. Because the state will own these landfills soon, I are charged with making sure the clean up is done correctly. We go out weekly. Two of us trade off. I am greedy though, It is the nicest place I get to go for work so I go as often as I can. I use the excuse that since I am overseeing the clean up, I need to go more. Usually I go to skanky industrial sites.
