Seattle | Subject: RE: Yanti & Salty Beyond Ridiculous Manatees PART 6--CLOSED I actually just signed up for two fundraising runs. One benefits the Arthritis Foundation and the other benefits the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. It's a little difficult to rundraise for two at the same time but it's nice that they are different causes so people have a choice. |

Master 6595 Rio Rancho, NM | Subject: RE: Yanti & Salty Beyond Ridiculous Manatees PART 6--CLOSED I've done lots of races that are for charities and have fundraising efforts. Oceanside is the first race I've actually tried to raise funds. I don't feel bad asking this time because I never have before. If I did it all the time my family/friends would probably get tired of hearing it. |

Not that I think raising money for a good cause is annoying but ... yeah, you know. |

This is my niece's thank you message to me yesterday. We are more alike than I thought. Watch to the very end. (By the way, I totally didn't send her a bday card. That is important information) Awesome! Word. |

I'd love to have light shoes like that but am probably better off with the support, even if neutral. |

Yeah I signed up for his training modules and for a bit extra you could join a VIP group..which I did and it's really personal, max 1000 members and it's via facebook. Awesome spreecast yesterday and could chat in person to Macca and my hero Terenzo Bozzone...definitely bang for my buck! |

Elite 4435 | Subject: RE: Yanti & Salty Beyond Ridiculous Manatees PART 6--CLOSED ..so no run today - really sore foot and someone asked if I could hop on it, definitely not and if you can't then you shouldn't run...and quite honestly walking is a bit of an issue, if I ran I'd overcompensate and injure something else! I did 45mins on the drainer this morning and I got swimming tonight so all good. Thanks for well wishes everyone. Spoke to patient this morning, he's fine - needs to have another ultrasound on stomach today and should be good to go so long as nothing has changed. I need him home, being a single mother is not my thing at all! |

Anything training related on your mind(s)? Anything? Nothing? I looked up 'training' in the dictionary. Yeah, it's not my kinda thing. In fact it sounds a bit weird if you ask me. |

Master 2770 Central Kansas | Subject: RE: Yanti & Salty Beyond Ridiculous Manatees PART 6--CLOSED Jo -- sorry about your hubby. I'm glad he's getting the care he needs, and I hope his recovery goes quickly. My calf is finally feeling better. I was pretty discouraged earlier this week. Ben and I went out last night for a 2mile run. My intention was to go very easy, and we did. We ended up with 2.4 miles at 11:30/minute pace. But it felt great. I think I'm going to run 2-4 miles at least through the weekend (no medium or long runs) to make sure I've got it back. Then I need to slowly build back up. I just pushed it too hard after the Coronado Heights run. So, I've signed up for the Wichita 10 mile Turkey Trot on November 17. My mom will be here, and since she did the 2 mile last year, she wants to do it again. The One Hill After Another run is November 10, and I was hoping to run the 25k. That might not be possible. I could do the 15k (what I did last year), but it's 250 miles round trip. I kind of wanted to make the drive worth it. I really wanted to run the 25k. Anyway, I haven't signed up for the Hill race yet -- last year I just paid that morning -- it's a very small, low key deal -- I think there were maybe 20 of us total, running four different distances (10k; 15k; 25k; 50k) It was just so much fun, and it is extremely hilly (small hills, but still). Last year I ended up walking the steeper hills, and I would do the same thing this year, if I do it. I'm rambling. Sorry. Like Salty told me, I guess I just need to play it by ear. Tentatively train for the 25k on Nov 10, and if I wake up that morning and feel like I can't do it, I can just roll over and go back to sleep. lol We're on Fall Breather today and tomorrow. I stayed up too late last night, and overslept this morning, but I managed to get the boys to school on time. An hour later, the nurse called me to come get Ben. Ben told me that since he left school, his class was down to 9 people. That's over 50 percent sick. Crazy. |

Seattle | Subject: RE: Yanti & Salty Beyond Ridiculous Manatees PART 6--CLOSED Practice was awesome last night. My recovery assignment was to pace one of my teammates @ race pace for her upcoming HM. It was 4 miles (on the track) at 7:30 pace It was dark as we don't have lights at our track (or at least we don't pay to turn them on) and there is just something so surreal and umm sorta sexy about running around the track in the dark. The rest of the team were doing two mile repeats with 4 minutes rest time in between. I dunno, there is just something really awesome about hearing runners footsteps then whiiiiizzzzz they go by you. I love it. I think there is something wrong with me. |

Here it is LOL That Sports Bra is also vintage. I am going to have to do a 5K or something in it. It's ridiculous. |

Melon Presser 52116 | Subject: RE: Yanti & Salty Beyond Ridiculous Manatees PART 6--CLOSED I don't know why, but this pic of me tonight reminded me of that pic of you. Suggestive, and the knee-hi compression socks make it seem retro. Definitely coolness at its finest. Also, the lightly-used sports bra was $2 AUS. |

Veteran 940 Citrus Heights, CA | Subject: RE: Yanti & Salty Beyond Ridiculous Manatees PART 6--CLOSED Hi everyone! I need to hook up some compression socks as well. My problem is that they have to have something awesome on them---for instance, right now, my racing socks have lizards on them--matches the tatt--you might say 'lizards' are my racing kit! Anyway--if you all find some lizard compression stuff, let me know please! As for news: My osteology class is killing me, but the others seem to be okay right now. I haven't heard from Seattle yet (Boo. ) --Salty, you wanna go talk some sense to that zoo for me? I'd appreciate it! Apart from that. I have the Down and Dirty mud run this weekend--all fun, no competition! Yay me! And today, I will hopefully finish my Halloween costume (still a surprise, but I'll post pics eventually...) |
