Good day ghoulies.

I was able to play tennis last night after bourbon, biofreeze and ibuprofen.  The sciatic nerve is still behaving, so I am being very hopeful it will stay so.  I did walk 1.5 miles on the treadmill this morning, and my back is a little sore, but still basically doing okay.  Need to slowly build back up.

YAY! Tennis is a lot of moving around so I am glad you are just a little sore. Slowly building is the ticket!

I fixed that for you.

I like bourbon! Knowing Kendra, it would be a Cosmopolitan though

And I always get really strong Cosmos.

Oh, and FWIW, I don't like the book much but my step daughter has pleaded with me to read the whole thing (I stopped now quite to half way reading it). I don't like the whole kids killing kids thing.

But, she has asked several times so

I will listen to it.

I read the books, Caleb even read the books, we talked about them. I could have done without the killings asa well, but I don't think there was any other way the author could have portrayed the decadence, and absolute control of The Capitol.

I agree. That is pretty clear in the beginning. We control you, all of you, so much that we make you kill your own kids for enjoyment, and there is NOTHING YOU CAN DO ABOUT IT.

I just tend to get really depressed when I read depressing books. I am better in the spring, so... here we go.

I have plans for several silly books afterwards.

I agree with Ann that the message of the book could not be told without the killings.  Focus in on the main characters.

Good morning Ghoulies!

My shoulder was throbbing all day yesterday, so I spent the evening with an ice pack on. Keri was sympathetic and just gave me leg exercises to do all night. She took her vengance out on her dad. He wears cotton t-shirts to work out, we still have the wood stove burning in the basement. She yelled at him for 45 minutes and he was SOAKED when he was done. I high fived her.

Good Morning, Ghoulies!

My swim didn't happen yesterday.  I changed into my swimsuit, showered, and headed to the pool deck.  There were 3 lanes open for laps and each one had 2 people.  I thought about asking them if they would circle swim instead of split the lanes, but all of them were either walking or swimming really slow with lots of stops.  I waited for a while but then just left.  By then it was too late to go for a run or anything. Disappointing

After work and before going out to dinner, I did some aerobics at home. So I did get something done.  I won't have a chance to swim until next week now.

So here's a question for you... since there is a chance for adverse side effects,  are these something that would happen immediately after you got the shots and still at the doctor's office, or is Jim around in case you're at home and have issues?

within 30 minutes... usually. they give two shots. I wait 30 minutes. If no reaction, 2 more and wait 30 minutes. repeat. Then after the last round. I wait in the office for an hour. I had to get an epi pen for the off chance that a reaction can happen later than that.

Good morning Ghoulies!

WFH today. That's a good thing, I slept horribly last night. There is no way I could have gotten up to go to work like a normal day.

Good Morning!

No workout yesterday... too busy at work.  Today maybe, but I have a lot of other stuff that needs to happen too.

No workout tomorrow because I am teaching at a conference during the day.  Then tomorrow night we have tickets to see a Russian dance performance.

But Sunday I plan to RUN regardless of weather, etc.

Two new staff started today.  As of this moment I am currently fully staffed.  Keep your fingers crossed that it stays this way for a long long time.

How's it going with the new staff?
