No doubt!  You need to recover well and not rush back into it!  Congrats on the Goofy!

(Oh, and for the record I think the Pearl ad totally rocked and I laughed hard at it, didn't bother me in one bit).

Hey guys....what a horrible month this has turned out to be. I've been so busy I haven't even had time to get on and introduce myself, or log my workouts.

Now I am sidelined for the rest of the month with a high ankle sprain. So I have to drop out of the challenge. Hopefully they will just drop me from the team so you guys won't be penalized. Im sorry

Good luck with the rest of the challenge!

rgattis -

Sorry to hear about your ankle. No, there is no penalty if you withdraw due to an injury. I've updated the team spreadsheet, so that your numbers will not be calculated in the team's totals.

That said, I'm sure your team would like for you to stay on as the "Official L.E.M. Cheerleader." Got your pom poms ready?

I hope your ankle feels better soon!

10.2 more down this evening after work.  Nice solid 7:18 pace as well!!

That makes 164.5 for the month.  6 recovery on the schedule for tomorrow and 16 which includes 12 at marathon pace (going to try for 6:50) on Sunday.  That is going to hurt on fatigued legs!

Which is why I'm swimming this month.

Of course, when I leave the gym, my wet hair freezes, but I'm ok with that.

Swim!... Bike!... Run!...

Please remember to update the spreadsheet with your current totals by Sunday evening on Jan 20th!

As of tomorrow, January will be 64.5% completed. Are you on track to meet your goals?

I'm taking today as a rest day because of the cold/wind and being a wuss.  Taking care of family stuff and going to my niece's 2nd birthday party.  I'm still on goal to hit my mileage as long as I don't slack any more workouts.

Help -

I am trying to figure out my January run totals - My January log says one total and my 2008 one shows a different total - just the miles part.  All of the hours are identical in both logs. Any ideas?

I see that. And it's only for running, not anything else. Bizarre!

If no one here knows, you may want to ask on the Training and Nutrition Logs Help Forum.

Go to April 5 and take out the miles that you have NOT run yet Then everything should add up

April 5th? And you saw that? All those months away?

Good detective work!

I've done my update. 118 miles so far. That's as far as I've ever run in a month, and I've got at least another 60 to go this month, according to the plan.

And I got yesterday. 5 hours with the tri-club. I went easy, but it felt nice, and I felt good enough to get a 5 mile run in afterwards.

Important Challenge Announcement:

This is a team challenge, so Beth and I have decided to offer you extra incentive to help your team.

Some participants are dealing with illness, injury, or just "life in general." And we know you want your team to do well, so:

You may now achieve 120% of your goal!

Up to 120% of each person's progress will be counted in your team's percentages.

(Yes, we know that some of you have raised your goals. It's your choice whether to try to achieve 120% based upon your original goal, or your new one.)

The team with the highest percentage will WIN the Challenge.

Any team that achieves 100% (or more), will also be declared a winner, and get to display the "Winner" signature line.

We hope this provides a little incentive for you to get out there and SWIM, BIKE or RUN!

Dee and Beth
