Extreme Veteran 608 | Subject: RE: Girl Passing on Left (FULL) MDHillSlug - 2009-05-07 9:17 AM I'm winding down the workouts with my eye on Sunday. Did a nice-n-easy run this morning. They've posted the event info. Last year I went off in the last wave (8); this year I'm 4th wave out of 6. I think it's all women 35 and up, including athena. Hopefully I can do a lot better than "just surviving" the swim this year! I'm looking to take off about 4 minutes on the swim. Lots of time to be saved on the transitions and run, too. I did pretty well on the ride last year, even though it was in a strong rain, so there's less room here for improvement but I'll be going for it! So far the weather report is calling for perfect conditions: some clouds, high of 73. Water temp is claimed to be 68 but I don't believe it's that high. Game on! Nicole- I wish you speed and strength on your race...I haven't been here much so not sure what distance your doing, but I have no doubt you are prepared mentally and physically. Good-Luck...and we will be with you in thought. Go Swim-Bike-Run! |

He's making demands that will leave me pretty much bankrupt. If I don't cave, then I know he will drag the divorce on for years. So it's really hard on me at the moment ... and just having a really hard time dealing with things. Doing some counseling and joined two support groups, so that does help. But it's really hard. But I'm losing weight again, so that is the upside. There, I found a silver lining. Glad to have you back with us Susie. Don't cave. Work with your lawyer and push back. Stick with the counseling and the support groups.....and stick with your training/weight loss. They will help to keep you sane. x2! x3 plus if that lawyer you are talking with is worth a darn...he should be keeping this from happening....good luck! way to go on the weight loss...but make sure to keep working out for Susie! hugs girl! the only thing you should be giving your dh is a SWIFT KICK IN THE A$$!!! can I help!!!??? Oh Oh me too!!! i want to test the full range of motion of my hip flexors on that "trou d'c.." hey Isabelle...how are the legs? they still giving you problems? |

Thanks everyone! I'm a little tired and we're going to go get something to eat, so I'll probably not get to the race report until tomorrow. But I made my primary goal -- finishing! And I smiled throughout the entire race, even when I was hating the swim (well, maybe not really...). It was tough conditions today -- rough water for the swim, a headwind for about 20 miles, and mid-80s for the run. So I'm thankful I was able to get through it. More tomorrow, and thank you everyone for all of your wonderful inspires! |

Extreme Veteran 600 Indiana | Subject: RE: Girl Passing on Left (FULL) Happy mothers day to the mom's in our group ! Yeah Nicole, today is the day "BABE .......GO GET EM " Cheri, Rest, recover..........repeat ! Everyone else, i'll be checking the blogs later in the day. SO, accompanied by my awesome daddy, we went to the swim clinic yesterday. I met up with three of my super friends from our Rubber ducky swim group. We were there for three hours it was AWESOME. There were only 7 of us, made for so much help from our coaches. In my case my kick is non existent, lol......we all knew that . Then my hand entry was palm up like "talk to the hand"...... coach Emily said "it's like you put the brake on everytime your hand enters the water." I had no idea I was doing that. So they worked on fixing that, with my hands sliding into the water thumbs first (although my first attempt I did it pinky first.......lol). I'll have to have dh help me figure out how to put the video on my blog, the difference was so unreal from the first video to the end video. I am so happy that you can see a difference ! lol I was literally smiling all day, had so much fun, these coaches were great and funny at the same time . Come on June Tri, I 'm so not afraid of you !!!! |

Pro 4343 Olney, MD | Subject: RE: Girl Passing on Left (FULL) I'm back! I had a pretty poor swim but and awesome race overall. No official times yet but by my watch I came in under all of my targets. The weather was gorgeous, nearly perfect for a race, and the water was a "balmy" 69F so I had no cold water issues. I put some info into my training blog for today so I'll let you go take a look at it there; I'm just too tired to repeat it all Thanks for all of your inspires. More for you later! |
