So for example I would just post: JOGO 15 from 17 or something along tode lines. Seeing how I am the first one (a part from Jo) to hit Friday morning I will post mine as a reminder to everyone else. I'm so sorry. It sucks. It's the kinda pain I do tris to dull:/Originally posted by switch Originally posted by TriAya Quick update on a couple friends/issues that many of you had so many kind thoughts about ... The suicidal friend, she's still in a really dark place but continues to reach out, is trying to get help, and we are helping her. So that, I think, is the ray of light; she realizes she's at the bottom of the pit so she is looking up. My closest friend in Bali, the one who lashed out at me when I called to ask him how he was and to tell him I care (and he and all of you and pretty much any random stranger who's even met me in the last two months knows what a tough time it's been for me, myself) ... I had a spare couple minutes and found some info/contacts he'd been looking for. I was going to send him the links on FB and found that he'd unfriended me. Ouch. I gotta let him go, keep praying for him (this is for my own release and sanity as well as genuinely still loving him), and understand that when some of us are in a bad spot, we do badly. I know I have. I also know here it's him, not me. Letting myself feel sad (huge understatement), letting him go. Hugs to you special Yanti. It is so hard to let go of someone you love like that. I have two friends I still yearn for in this way. It's a very deep hurt. I'm sorry that you're feeling that right now. Let yourself crawl into bed and sob it out if you need to. Rats. That's exactly what I've been doing. Alternating with imagining whacking him with a tennis racket, especially so it leaves bizarre waffle marks all over him, but what the hey. Good thing I don't own any rackets. I try to compartmentalize the friendships, and limp along to the place where I can remember the good stuff without it twisting the grapefruit spoon so hard. I have nothing really to offer, except that these friendships, the ones that hurt so deeply, the ones you've loved so deeply--when they end badly or end sadly, were still worth it. Some go their whole lives without that connection with another. Hugs Yanti. *tears streaming down my face* |

So cool! BA ROONS! Who doesn't ruv those? I had heard about this, and also about the balloon project regarding global warming. Fascinating stuff. Only related by balloon involvement, but still. At first I was all "why the heck are they calling it 'Project Loon'? Are they all crazy maniacs or not right in the head or something?" Yeah, today isn't a smart day for me. And you from a country where EVERYBODY wants loonies and twonies ... I know! I'm a disgrace to my country... I'll have to wrestle a moose or eat a massive helping of poutine to try and get back in the good graces. |

And I realized as I was waiting for him at the marathon finish line on Sunday (having just done the half) that this may be the right man and the right relationship but right now it's the wrong circumstances. I'm heartbroken, but I just can't follow through with this commitment. I feel terrible about it but he's a terrific guy (of course) and all is well. It just feels like another heavy loss right now. Ah, poo. Better to realize it now though :-( Being a grown up sucks. Hugs and pop tarts... |

After the rivalry between the Canucks and the Blackhawks the past few years, I just CAN'T bring myself to cheer for Chicago... and boy oh boy, cheering for the Bruins right now means putting your life on the line. |

SHE'S the one to blame for the beignets! When it came time to do up the onesie, I was truly scared that it wasn't going to do up after the pure gluttony the night before. I had actually been feeling fairly good about my incrementally slow but steady weight loss, but when I got home after glutton-fest, I tried on a pair of normally loose fitting shorts and uh-oh... I don't care though - the fried bread with cinnamon-sugar, caramel sauce, vanilla ice cream and whipped cream was SOOOOO worth it! |
