That's kind of sad. I was looking forward to running a challenge. Oh well. You could volunteer? Ask thm if they want to run it or if yuo could do it for them? Xterratri has been after a multisport challenge for a couple of months so I guess thats where its come from.... There is always May! That's what I did. Since I'd been thinking of opening it to multiple sports anyway, I offered to run or help run. |

I made the thread sticky so people could weigh in given that it's the last week of the March challenge, it wouldn't stand much of a chance of being noticed I think we need to figure out if they are only interested in doing the challenge for their area of the country

Royal(PITA) 14270 West Chester, Ohio | Subject: RE: Nibbs XVIII Morning Nibbs, Williamsbug was pretty much a bust. We got there around 11AM and walked a little bit then decided to find lunch. Waited in front of one place for 45 min (and it was rather cold) but never got seated as there were 3 or 4 other large goups waiting ahead of us. Caught the bus to the other side of town where we asked about thewait. Our "20 min" turned into about 40 min, the waitress messed up my order (I asked for soup and a grilled salad, she bought soup and salad so I asked about my order and she got all flustered and did bring the grilled salad but it was after the rest of the family ate their food) It was good, a little pricey, but good. Walked a little more but Mom got a blister on her foot so we caught the bus over to the visitor's center and headed home. I stopped at the drugstore and got her some epsom salts to soak her feet. She could barely pick her legs up to get them in my tub. It sucks watching her go downhill. She was doing well until dad got sick, then her world revolved around getting him in and out of chemo/radiation treatment, PT and such. Now she barely picks up her feet to walk--kind of shuffle walks and she climbs stairs like a small child both fet have to be on the same step befoe going to the next one... I'm glad we didn't spend the $60 for each adult pass and the $30 each for my kids passes to get into the tour houses. Edited by zipp1 2008-03-26 6:32 AM |
