Remember, side stroke is ok, and so are nerves. You have trained for this, and you will do just fine. I will be there with you in spirit, call me when the race is over. (But don't text me tonight. J/K, LOL). Call me whenever you want--I'm over here cheering for you already. Mwaaa! |

Hoping to get an early run tomorrow before Elder Monkey's soccer game late morning, but Sunday is looking like an impossible day. Church in the morning, and then a party scheduled from 2-4...maybe I can hit the gym between church and the party? Because after 4, I'm not going to want to do anything. |

In January, I had a meeting with my PhD committee (ultimately, they decide if I get my degree). We decided I would do the first part of my qualifying exams (writtens) in June. In April, my adviser and I talked about it, picked a date, etc. Then, he asked me to send him a list of the categories we decided on and the email addresses for my committee so he could ask for them to write questions. Fast forward to this week. I'm supposed to start on Monday (6/9). I mentioned it to him last week before he left for San Diego to run. He ignored me. I mentioned it Tuesday when he got back and he said something like "guess I should write your questions." I talked to him today about logistics of how it works and he asks "did you get all your questions". Uh...no that's YOUR job. We went over the conversation again and he realized he completely f'ed up and has to get questions from people. I am not taking them next week. I've been pysching myself up for this for 2 weeks. I'm so upset I want to cry. Or smoke or drink or something. |

Hey, I need to ride tomorrow, want to meet early someplace? Yeah, some of the people in my lab offered. Doesn't feel like it would help. How far are you riding tomorrow? I'm looking at about 25(?). I have a few routes leaving from West Creek if you're interested. |

Bottomline - it all worked out in the end and I didn't pay... that was ten yrs ago, I've gotten over it... I'd take Judi up on the ride and work it out of your system... you'll be fine... just don't go purchase any firearms tomorrow. |
