I broke the 150lbs barrier today! I had been fluctuating between 151-153 for two weeks, and was frustrated. This morning I hit 149lbs! Ok, 140lbs here I come!

Jonesy - 2008-11-11 10:01 AM Hello everyone! I would like to join in the fun. I have to start trying on Wedding dresses in Jan and would like to have some added accountability. You would think that the idea of a wedding would motivate anyone to eat right and exercise, but I just end up over-eating due to stress. I work, go to school, Military Reserves and have a son. Planning a wedding has made me want to eat everything in sight. 161.2 today...

when is the big day?! Congrats!

Thank you! The big day is Sept 26, 2009.

Last week 193

Today (Sunday 11/16) 191!

I am amazed.  I lost 2 and I've not done that since I started I don't believe.  Hopefully I will keep it up.  Look to get below 190 before Thanksgiving.

Hi!

First off, Cori way to go!!!!!!!  I know what it is to be stuck at weights.  Bleah.  It can be soo frustrating and discouraging. Congrats! Yay!

Here are my weights:

Monday, September 10, 2008:  155

Monday, September 17, 2008:  152.5

Yay!  This is somewhat surprising because I have been in a rest and recovery phase since getting the runner's knee last week.  This weekend at the gym I only worked out 2.5 hours - no cardio - just pilates and weights.  Really amazing.  Usually my gym is at least 8 hours on the weekends.

(And this morning I didn't go either.... I got up with my exhausted body and thought, "no way!"

I overtrained all summer and now it's catching up to me.  Plus I was stressed out - I had two biopsies this year - one about two weeks ago when I went to a pre-triathlon physical and my doctor said she found a "lump" in my breast 2 cm big!  I went to an emergency mammogram/emergency sonogram and then two days later - an emergency biopsy.  Imagine the stress!  Then four days later doctor called and said it was just a hard lump of "disintegrating fat."  Yay - thank God!  But I was REALLY stressed out and worked out like a banshee all throughout that mess.  I even worked out the morning of the biopsy.  I just kept thinking about Lance Armstrong -  "if he can do it, I can too."  Thank God it was benign!

But now - I am sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo tired.

Rest and recovery for me!  Funny, I hadn't read much about rest and recovery until I joined these forums. Hm...

with care - and congratulations everyone !  (And now there is no way I am buying a new scale.)  :=)

I've been "off the wagon" for the past two weeks, but apparently there's no damage done - just a delay in reaching my goal of 220 pounds by Christmas.

Congrats on getting through the off season with no weight gain! I'm not much help for Thanksgiving ideas. I'm just going with a traditional Thanksgiving and try not to eat too much of it. My family would throw a fit if I tried to make a HEALTHY Thanksgiving

October 25 - 155 lbs

Ocober 27 - 152 lbs and 35% body fat

November 2 - 149 and 34% body fat

November 10 -  149 and 34% body fat

November 17 - 152 and 33% body fat

Hmm.  Wrong direction.  I achieved my goal of cutting back daily calories through Thursday of last week, and then I went out of town only to be sleep deprived, stressed, and exposed to constantly available baked goods and coffee.  I fell flat on my face.

SO, now, my goal is about 1500-1800 calories per day depending on my workouts and getting a handle on the weekends.
