Ugh... crud run this morning.  Great weather, though.  65 degrees and not a cloud in the sky.  The lungs just didn't feel like breathing fresh air for some reason.

I think I'll waste the rest of the day with burgers, beer, and football.  Though, that's not really a waste is it?

13.5 miles this morning. I finally had a nice autumn day, which is a huge change from the humidity we have been having on weekends. I was able to watch little kid football on the field in the middle of my loop, which was a nice distraction.

Now, I get to relax and watch Penn State win, while eating large amounts of food.

Funny you would mention bats...I came home last night from work to find a bat hanging on the screen of my window

No. No you did not.

There are NO BATS IN CHICAGO.

Beer and football are essential Saturday things. Unfortunately, due to soccer-mom-scheduling, I have to indulge in football...then run...then come back for beer and more football...

bats are awesome-I don't find them creepy in the least.  I guess that we all see things differently.

Well had a busy day today but finally got my wog in late this afternoon. I have a total of 15.1 miles for the month so far, so well within my challenge goal of 90. Next week I am going to vary my route and go for 4.25 miles of wogging. Seeing two weeks ago I was walking 2.5 miles I am pleased with my progress. I also bought a bike and have started to add that to my workouts.

Got in 5.5 today while my daughter was at soccer practice.  Actually felt pretty good.  I've been dragging alot lately, so that was good.  Tomorrow I'll be up early (on a frickin' Sunday!!) and head out for 18-20.

PICS!!!  NOW!!!

I parted with my first bike today  Of course, it's not like I'd ridden Skip in a long, long time.  He helped me rehab a knee and was pretty much my gateway drug.  A lady I work with has a son in college, and he's interested in triathlon, so I've lent him Skip for the week.  If he likes him, I'll be picking up a check next weekend.  If he doesn't, I'll be picking Skip back up.  At least he might be going to a good home.

He wasn't just a good bike.  He was a drinking buddy

I remember when in March 2008, I could only run for 30 seconds at a time. Yesterday, I ran for 3 1/2 hours straight. (I am very slow and people walk faster than I run, but at least I am out there.) So, I can assure you that you will get there, too. Just keep up the good work!

Didn't anyone ever tell you that you shouldn't drink and drive? Sorry about having to part with your first bike.

Somehow this just makes me smile!!  How awesome.  I do miss my Specialized that I had to part ways with.  I think I'll have to have a beer with my Orbea tonight.

Ok - got in an 18 today.  Just took it easy, but it felt good.  My long runs have not been kind to me this year.  Too much life getting in the way.  One more to go next week, then it's taper time already.  Gulp!
