Good Morning team!  Well my weekend plans changed I no longer get my 3 day weekend   This did allow me to get in some decent workouts though, but my motivation has just not come back to me.  Nutrition went out the window too.  Think large, greasy pizza, far too much beer.  Those are no-nos.  But its a new week.  Things can get better.

I see a lot of you logging good workouts already.  Keep up the good work!  I see we have a little catching up to do.  I'm going to liken it to a triathlon.  We may not be the first out of the water, but we can definitely catch them on the bike and the run Good luck team!

Hi Team... I finished up my first race today. 8K in 48:42 mins which is the fastest and the longest I have ever ran in my life.... I am really happy about it.... That was my 6th workout for this week.

Great first race!  You were trucking out there

Got workout number 6 for this week in today!   So I'm feeling good!   Was kind of a record setter for me!   2500 yards nonstop swim.   I've done lots of 4000 yd plus workouts in the pool before, but never this distance without stopping!  Whoo Hoo for me!

I'll rest tomorrow, and get back at it on Monday.  Logged my 6 workouts on the spreadsheet

Wow!  What a swim!  My shoulders are tired just imagining it

QueenZipp - 2008-11-09 1:17 PM I really love my Blue.  It ROCKS to ride hills at 16 mph (the same hill I crawl up at 9mph on my roadie).  Oh yeah, another work out in too

What a sweet looking bike!  16mph uphill??!!  Insane!  You are going to rock some races next year for sure!

Morning team!

I see the sports med doc this afternoon-hope the rest this weekend with light spins on the bike were the ticket to running cause I want to run again!

Good luck with the doc.  Hope you did lots of stretching after the bike!

Exactly!

I had a not so stellar weekend nutritionally, too, so will repent this week for sure!  Guess I should go to the grocery store today.

Morning gang

I did some core workout to start the day, and I have master swimmmers tonight to finish it. In between I have to go to work though ... Oh well, maybe one day I will be rich and won't have to work anymore :P

What's everyone up to?

Way to get up and at em!  I'm hoping for a 2 hour ride outside this afternoon.  We'll see if it warms enough.  I'm a giant wuss when it comes to biking in the cold

Good morning team,

I actually have to get some work done today... so I will have to force myself to log off and just to it.

For tonight, I am planning on doing a spinning class and then a 3 mile run afterwards.

See you later.

Morning all...

Didn't do so well this weekend...5 mile run Saturday, but did not feel good yesterday so I stayed in bed   And to add to the dissappointment I am having surgery on Friday...So it looks like this week I will only be able to get 4 in...but I do have the extra from last week so that should keep me even at 5/week... Oh well Sorry guys and gals!

My baby bro and his wife had a baby last week (their first and my first nephew) so I had to go  bestow my blessings upon the child. Anyway, that meant not playing online last week. I promise to catch up although it doesn't look like anyone will catch Mila. Which reminds me...Mila, I live on Princess Street, for real, so take it easy on me, will ya?

So I tried to read through this whole thread. I got past the first day introductions and up to the end of daylight savings time (although here in Saskatchewan we don't bother with such time manipulation craziness). Then I digested the follies of the second day and then, I thought that I would live in the present so I'm posting in the here and now which will be the past once you read this.

 Now off the the logs...

Health takes precidence over any challenge. And if the surgery will knock out time for you, I'm sure Travis will take that into account. Just sweet talk him and let him know he makes good cookies.

And don't forget his "hot" legs.

I see my legs have made a lasting impression.

If your surgery prevents you from competing, I will make the appropriat adjustment to make it fair for your team.

grade 2 rectus femoris tear...basically strained the hip flexors.  Yeah, I already knew that.  Iontopheresis, PT, massage therapy, I can race Sat. but then no running x 2 weeks (boo hiss) and I have to go back to strength training.

I did a strength training video today.  Haven't done it in a long time.  Lunges ,squats, plies...and ummmm  64 push ups interspersed in the midst of the set.  A few modifications here and there to avoid stressing things but yeah, I did something
