Expert 1074 Madison, MS | Subject: RE: PowerPuff Girls MDHillSlug - 2009-04-02 7:34 PM My commute home was uneventful, but slow. I think I got stopped at every light. I wish I could commute to work. It's only 6 miles one way. But it is Mississippi. I would probably die. Maybe one day I'll get the guts to try it. On Sunday. When no one else is going to work. After everyone's in church. Then, I might not be perceived as being in someone's way. God forbid. |

The UPS man just brought it. It is the De Soto Forza. I feel.......tight! It is holding the bulges allllll the way in. I don't even feel like a 'wanna be' in it. Now, if we could get some dry weather, over 50 degrees, I'd take a few laps and a couple of miles in it before the race! Oooh, I got the suit at trisports.com on clearance. Even better!Shoeless - 2009-04-02 6:36 PM disturbed275 - 2009-04-02 1:42 PM The Grizz Triathlon, in Missoula, MT. The biggest (# of participants, not distance) triathlon in the state. Approx 400 people, with a pool swim. It runs very smoothly. We are doing this as a team. I was supposed to just do the swim, but our biker backed out, so now I have to swim and bike. Getting a tri-suit for my birthday, though, so that will cut down on some transition.Shoeless - 2009-04-02 2:34 PM ceilidh - 2009-04-02 11:48 AM Hi Heidi. Great to be on a team with you again. Hiya, Robin! Just got my first 16 miles of biking for the month. Next week will be light, because it is race week, but I planned for it.Nice job! What's next week's race? Birthday? when? we like birthday celebrations. And a new Tri suit. Awesome. Do we get pictures? |

Expert 1074 Madison, MS | Subject: RE: PowerPuff Girls Well...oops. No run today. Quick ride on the trainer, though. I was expecting all these thunderstorms and "tornadic" activity this evening. Well, didn't happen. Sun was out. But I was all planned for the trainer. Gotta' stick to the plan. I'll run tomorrow. I promise I will be a good teammate and meet all of my goals (which I'm not sure I remember at this point...hmmm). |

Expert 1074 Madison, MS | Subject: RE: PowerPuff Girls So. Spoke with my bike mechanic this afternoon. He came by to retrieve my road bike because I am unable to shift in the front. Turns out the derailleur is broken. And, the chain is stretched and worn out. And the rear cassette is worn out. Yeesh. So, getting pretty much a new drivetrain (crank is fine, at least) and upgrading from my old Shimano 105 components to Ultegra. I'm kind of excited. It will be like having a new bike. And I promise to take better care of her. Really. |

I had to go and look at my original post to see I said 20 sessions. Got two done already. |

(For the purists, I made that code number up, but there is one.) MDHillSlug - 2009-04-02 7:34 PM My commute home was uneventful, but slow. I think I got stopped at every light. I think its awesome that you can ride for your commute. I'd get killed on the road here if I tried to ride to and from work, even though it is only 8 miles. Drivers just don't want to share the road. Not many here really want me infront of them on their commute. Why do they insist on honking? Like that's gonna help! I always give my best, friendliest, thanks wave. I hope it cheeses them off! |
