(I bet his teacher was very happy to send him off to first grade.  He was a pain in the butt challenging student.)

ebshot - 2009-06-18 7:07 AM Just a few more days until my HIM.

You must be so excited

Excited, nervous, dread.  I have a lot of emotions about this.  I have always said that the race is icing on the cake.  It is all about the journey for me.  For those of you who know me, 2009 has been a very challenging year for me.  I have had a lot of crap to deal with and training has gotten me through it while remaining somewhat sane!  Saturday will be seeing all of the trials and tribulations, the good time and the awful ones fade into the past and a new day will dawn.  It will be a good day.  An emotional day.

I hope you have fun and have a great race day.  You deserve it.  Smile

I need to switch over to running in the morning.  Summer temps finally hit here.

Can you send them this way?  It is cold (and raining) here.  Last night my son suggested we put the heat on.

I was looking through my winter posts on the Nevada forum complaining about it being cold a few days. Don't have to worry about that again until January. We've actually had a 'cool' couple past weeks, but supposed to hit 100 tommorrow and stay warm.

Our son starts Kindergarten next year. He was sooo sad on his last day of preschool and cant' wait for the next year to start. Gotta be one of those things I need to write down for him to read again when he's older. That and those yucky girls! Kids are amusing.

I have to tell you my "first week of kindergarten" story.  My son was very happy to go, and was looking forward to riding the bus.  They had an orientation for the kindergarteners and they got to take a practice bus ride, so he was ready.  First day of school comes, he gets on the bus and off he goes.  He goes to an afterschool program, so afterwards I go to pick him up and he tells me I put him on the wrong bus.  Major panic, although I can't see how I would have done that.  I asked him where the bus took him.  He tells me he went to school okay, but there were "big kids" on the bus and it was just supposed to be kindergarteners.  Then I realize that the practice ride was only the new kindergarteners, and they never clued them in that the other grades would be on the bus too.

It took a couple of days of carrying him kicking and screaming onto the "wrong" bus before he finally made friends with one of the older kids and was okay.  Kids can come up with the weirdest things to freak out about.

Hope you're swimming this morning!

Nope...  Gonna sneak out at lunch today instead of yesterday...

Hee ,hee,  Why do lunch swim workouts feel like a guilty pleasure???

I finally cranked the AC on last night after suffering through the past few nights.  I hate how my apartment can run 10 degrees warmer than the air temp even with all the windows open.

My little guy finished Kindergarten today too.  I KNOW his teacher is more than happy to see him move on.  I've been on her case most of the year in order for her to accommodate his issues.

Funny thing is, Liam will have her next year!  Heh!

I got my bike back from the LBS.  Took it for a ride in the rain.  It is good to go!   I got a new cycle computer installed too.  Exciting stuff.
