Subject: RE: Team 3 - June Challenge disturbed275 - 2010-06-26 12:00 PM Hi team! I managed to get my first 100 miler of the season in today. I didn't get to leave as early as I wanted to because it was still storming at 5:30 when I initially woke up. I enjoyed an extra hour and half of sleep until the sun woke me. Unfortunately the storm left some pretty strong winds around and the later departure meant the temps had gotten up to 90 for the last couple hours. I survived though, and was pretty happy with how things turned out. Now I'm going to see how many recovery beers it takes to put me to sleep After 100 miles...I say the over under is at 2.5. Being that you deserve beer after a 100 miles...I'll say you force yourself to hit the over...maybe WAY OVER... |

So I'm thinking this probably means your team is still ahead of Team 2. Oh well, Bill has blown us ALL away this month. |

Expert 1163 | Subject: RE: Team 3 - June Challenge Happy Monday team! So yesterday I blew off my long ride because of storms. I'd already gotten caught in 2 really bad storms this month (the first one resulting in 2 flats), so I didn't want to get blown away while miles from anywhere since it would have been a 50-60 mile ride. Still, I should be able to meet my revised bike goal just from my bike commute today. I'm really behind on my run goal, and dont' think I will reach it. That 200-mile team relay took me out of commission longer than I thought it would! I will get as close to it as possible, though! I should reach my swim goal since I have an OWS planned for tomorrow after work, and I'm still working on my strength/yoga goals. Edited by yogachic 2010-06-28 12:59 PM |

See if you can stop by in the transition area and say hello! Bill I stopped by your transition area twice before and once after the race, and I managed to miss you every time. However, your bike and I spent some quality time together, so please tell it I said, "Hi." That race was an incredibly difficult experience for me--I was not prepared for a duathlon in that heat. On the second run, my legs were cramping and I decided to walk as much as I needed to remain uninjured. I had an incredible headache and muscle aches last night, so I clearly need to work on my hydration strategy. I hope you found the day less brutal. |

Subject: RE: Team 3 - June Challenge Had a great long ride yesterday. Ended up being about 67 miles and finished pretty strong. I'm really starting to enjoy hill climbing. As sick as that may sound. |

Pro 4343 Olney, MD | Subject: RE: Team 3 - June Challenge I had a great relay tri ride yesterday, just missed a new PB on the route. I never bike so hard so I was feeling a bit wiped last night and took today off. I've already met my bike goal and need one more swim to reach that goal so I'm right on target for the challenge. |

Expert 1580 Ankeny, Iowa | Subject: RE: Team 3 - June Challenge Got back from Alaska this weekend and finished up the strength and bike yesterday. Got 11 miles to run in the 3 days left of the month which shouldn't be too bad. and I will top out at 100% for everything. Might be able to get more core in tonight and another bike before the end of the month we will see. Stacie |

Expert 1163 | Subject: RE: Team 3 - June Challenge G'morning team! So I reached 100% on my swim goal last night, with the most craptastic OWS I've ever had! It was so choppy, I had to breaststroke most of it because freestyle was making me seasick. And the water was particularly dirty close to the beach, so as I was finishing up, I got tangled in a mess of seaweed and garbage. I even got a plastic bag to the face! Blech! I'm already at over 100% on my bike goal, and a yoga class and strength session tonight will put me at 100% on that goal. So the only one I didn't reach was my run goal. |

I think everyone else (in my try club) was too busy trying to avoid the garbage in the lake and not swallowing too much water to even notice my breaststroking! |
