Come on Paul - I bought a Snowbike this year - I am ready for it to snow snow snow!!!

I am jealous of the snow you guys got.  I had to check myself at first because I thought you were Bill and in PA and I was like it is 70 degrees why do you need gloves/hat.  Then the brain worked again and I realized you were in SLC.

I want to fly home to Denver this weekend just to see it!!!

It will accomodate a 4" wide tire that you can run at 5-10psi and they "float" on the snow.

Fattest tire I have ever tried was a 2.25 on my single speed so this is almost double that!

have to agree on the running part.  I bought an ASICS jacket for running and have worn it 1 or 2 times I think and that was snowshoeing to keep the snow off of my back from the kick motion.

You are going to overheat pretty quick on the run.  A basic hat and gloves will work down to temps where it probably isn't safe to run anyways.

Biking - whole different story because of natural wind chill effect.

pdbman - 2010-10-26 10:17 AM Thanks for the good wishes last night folks. Things did get better with the exercising. I went for a ride after work and then went running later in the evening. A couple of things I need to do before I venture out in this weather again:
1-Get full finger riding gloves
2-Find my hat
3-Get full finger riding gloves
4-Get some riding tights
5-Get full finger riding gloves
6-Find my hat
I don't think I've ever gone riding when it is this cold. My hands froze, my head was cold (especially my ears), and shorts just didn't cut it. Did I mention my hands froze? After being so cold on the bike, I over-dressed for running and had to shed some layers along the way. I did find some light gloves that will work for running but couldn't find my hat. Then it started snowing. I will definitely find a hat before I head out again.
