Second day with no junk for me!! I even turned down homemade brownies from my daughter...I can tell you right now tomorrow will NOT be a junk free day Rest of my diet was good too. I didn't get in as long of a workout as planned (too much talking) but what I did do felt great! Have a great night all!

rh8463 - 2011-01-06 5:34 PM I am counting myself as very lucky these days as I live far enough South in Queensland to be uneffected by the floods. However, I am still being subjected to ridiculous amounts of rain and last night on my way home from work I had to brake for a car and my bike kept sliding
I have scrapes on my ankle and knee, a massive bruise on my hip and a nasty graze where the skin came off on my elbow. The car stopped, bless them, to check I was ok, so I grinned (trying to cover my hurt pride) and waved at them then got going.
The most annoying thing is that it wasn't even on my road bike, it was my mountain bike with its huge grippy tyres - a good lesson in just how careful you have to be when riding in the rain I guess!

That's scary!  Glad you're ok!

CELEBRATION TIME!!
I get to join in on the 'pat-yourself-on-the-back' moments I've been seeing,
I'd like to thank you all for helping me loose 5 of the 7lbs Santa left me last month.

I KNOW pushing the 64+/- fluids is a BIG part of it.  Now you all can pat yourself on the back for being excellent role models.

HAPPY FRIDAY EVERYBODY!

I am still sick and still sorting my freshly moved life out, but things seem to be coming together and I plan to return to training on Monday.

So much to respond to!

rh8463 - I'm so glad you are ok, that is scary!
Skarl - Congrats, you can definitely do it again
kimk - Yay!!!! Keep up the great work! The first few days are the hardest, then you stop craving it.
RedSoxChick - I am so jealous, I'd love to lose that quickly. Great job!

Yesterday was a perfect challenge day. Tons of fruits and veggies, overloaded with water and some great workouts. No added sugar besides gu on the bike. Yay! I topped it off by staying up super late and finished painting my bathroom. Just some more cleaning to do this weekend and I will no longer be living in a construction site (home remodel started in September).

Question - do Lychee Mojito's count as added sugar? I'm guessing yes, in which case I might have to sacrifice my sugar point at happy hour tonight.

Happy Friday everyone

Doing fairly well, all things considered.  Solid on staying active.  The nutrition part... well, I'm doing the best I can.

Question of the day:  do jalapenos and artichoke hearts on a pizza count as a serving of veggies?  Wink

Crazy day at work!  Just got caught up on the thread and will throw these out there... "Great Job!"  "Nice!"  "Well done"  "Ouch, that hurts... glad it wasn't worse!"  "Congrats!"  You all can make a game out of which comment goes with which post. Laughing

Happy Friday, everyone!  Got to the gym late because of a late meeting to find the pool was closed.  So played an hour of racquetball instead.  I need to update the spreadsheet and will do so later.  Can I count the olives that I put in my dirty martini tonight as a vegetable? Embarassed

You're going to be losing some of those stars soon Yanti. The good news is you're getting really close to another bright yellow star.

I did pretty good yesterday... right up until about 9:30. My wife brought me dinner since I wouldn't be getting home until after 11. And she actually likes McDonalds, sad as that is. I would say there was at least one serving of fruit in those two apple pies that I had so that's a good thing. We've already established that potatos don't count as a veggie so I can't put anything down for the fries. She did get me a chicken rollup thing instead of a burger so it could have been worse. Then I had another apple (with fruit dip, shhh) when I got home.

Today isn't going so well. Grabbed a quick breakfast biscuit because I was late. Then they're having a retirement lunch for someone at work today. Shame on those brownies for being such a temptation (and shame on me for eating them). However, I am proud of myself for bringing plenty of fruit to work for me to snack on today: two apples, an orange, and two satsumas. That should help me with my daily dose.

Oooooh Fuuuuuudge!  Old habits die hard!!!  Without even thinking about it, I grabbed $1.25 out of my drawer, walked to the office kitchen, bought a Diet Coke, sat down and took a big swig... NOOOOOOOO!  Oh well... might as well have a hot fudge sundae now!

Hey Billsorg. I love your post count: 1234.

I know what you're saying about old habits. I'm trying to replace some old habits with new ones but I'm not doing too well. They say two weeks is the magic number for the new thing to become a habit. Good luck.
