One thing I noticed was that when it came to the run, all I wanted was ice water. I forced myself to take one gel, 2 or 3 swallows of gatorade, and 2 swallows of coke. This was something I had not planned on. For training runs I drink cytomax and take a gel every hour. At GCT I was beginning to feel nauseated after about 6 miles, but I didn't think I could finish without taking in any calories. So, what to do during CDA run?
Maybe drink only water for last hour of bike (instead of perpetuem every 15min. )?
Changing subject: I met a girl at the gym yesterday and she said that the IMCDA swim was her all time favorite swim ( and she's done a lot of races ). Thought that might make some people feel better.
