Champion 14677 | Subject: RE: Ghoulies Springing into action Hey all. Happy Friday. The shots yesterday wore me out. Mostly due to the antihistamine that I had to take. Those things are not fun to take. Next round on Monday. Got the hair done today and laughed so hard with my hairdresser at the conversation going on next to us we had to take a break and walk away. Good, golly people are funny. Tonight we are getting together with some friends at a place called "the local joint". Hope it is good. Have wonderful weekends. |

So here's a question for you... since there is a chance for adverse side effects, are these something that would happen immediately after you got the shots and still at the doctor's office, or is Jim around in case you're at home and have issues? within 30 minutes... usually. they give two shots. I wait 30 minutes. If no reaction, 2 more and wait 30 minutes. repeat. Then after the last round. I wait in the office for an hour. I had to get an epi pen for the off chance that a reaction can happen later than that. Twice, Frank had reactions that happened over an hour after the initial shots. I had to run him to the hospital both times. Glad they have given you the epi pen. |

How's it going with the new staff? Too soon to tell as they are both PT 17 hour a week people. But, training seems to be going well. I'm going to stay positive about this. They are both going to work out fabulously. |

Champion 14677 | Subject: RE: Ghoulies Springing into action My evening last night was fun. We went out with one group of friends, had a great dinner and lots of laughs and then, when they went home, we hunted down another couple at a bar watching the NCAA. We had wine that they had bought last week down here so we did a delivery. Neither Jim nor I care about the game, but it was great fun taunting Debbie that her cherished Tarheels may get beaten by Villanova. Today. I have NO ENERGY at all. I am going to force myself to get on the spin bike and listen to the Hunger Games a bit. |

Champion 16743 Somewhere I can be nekidd | Subject: RE: Ghoulies Springing into action Good morning Ghoulies! What a weekend. Saturday was a typical run around like a crazy lady day. Yesterday we went down to my sister's for Easter. Being around my parents and brother is toooooo stressful. The good thing about yesterday was we took the kiddos to the park for a community egg hunt. Keri won a skateboard as one of the prizes. My nephew, who is 8 months older than Caleb did the hunt, but Caleb wouldn't because it was for 9-12 year olds and he didn't want to break the rules. One of my nephew's teachers was there, as a Park Rep helping, she knew he wasn't 12 and she didn't say anything. Oh well. I'm WFH today, a layer of ice followed by several inches of snow = me not driving. |

MotoQueen 13195 | Subject: RE: Ghoulies Springing into action I had a great weekend and a crappy weekend. Great:
I guess it was a weekend of Theatre shows for me. LOL Crappy part of weekend. - Stress of work caught up with me on Saturday night. Luckily I have a wonderful hubby. He keeps me grounded. It really is a bummer how one bad episode can have a negative effect on a whole weekend, so looking at all that happened, I really did have a GREAT weekend! Edited by kns57 2013-03-25 9:15 AM |

Champion 14677 | Subject: RE: Ghoulies Springing into action Howdy Ghoulies. I am getting shot again today. Round 2 of 9 done. I erred. TOMORROW is Jim's surgery. I had the date right, the day wrong. I am going to try to swim today after the shots. I am going to wait here for an hour or so just to be safe. Kendra, sounds like a great weekend. It is indeed amazing how one wrong can f___ up so many rights! Ann, sounds like a lot of fun this weekend. (except for the parental stress). |

Elite 4201 washington state | Subject: RE: Ghoulies Springing into action Morning Ghoulies! I had a good but exhausting weekend. I missed 3 days in a row of working out. Saturday was fun but exhausting! I was at a women's conference all day. Led two of the sessions, so that uses up a lot of energy. That evening hubby and I went to see a performance by Georgian (Russia) singers and dancers. It was quite good but I sure fell into bed and went right to sleep. Sunday afternoon I did manage to get the yard mowed, grocery shopping done, and a long run in. Today I have acupuncture after work. YEAH!! |

What is Catan? We have talked about going to see Oz, but the kids go back and forth on it. I think we are going to see The Croods when it comes out. |

Master 3479 Utah | Subject: RE: Ghoulies Springing into action Hi guys. Do a favor for me, would ya? Hug your loved ones just that much tighter than you normally would today. It seems like there's a lot of sadness and loss in my neck of the woods lately, and it's got me down a bit. A friend/employee of my hubby's died in a rope swing accident near Moab, Utah yesterday (Sunday), several family friends have been diagnosed with varying types and stages of cancer/leukemia in the past week or so, and a friend's brother was injured when he hit an IED over in the middle east a few days ago. The list goes on (not even the Ghoulies have been immune, unfortunately), but the moral of the story is to love and be loved every day. Every day.
And while I'm here I thought I'd tell you: I love you guys! Mwah! |
